With a hiss, Mistyfalcon twisted, Murkystar's paws brushing through fur he lashed out with a forepaw quickly, though his own paw passed harmlessly through the air.

As Mistyfalcon landed, Murkystar lashed out with a flurry of blows, landing each hit firmly on his side before stepping back to watch him carefully for his next move.

Murkystar caught his side with several well-placed paws, and Mistyfalcon sprang forward as she stepped backward, aiming to knock her to the ground and swiping at her flanks with sheathed claws.

Mistyfalcon attempted to pin her to get some hits in, and she ducked her head low to the ground before twisting her body to attempt throw him off-balance. His mark held true though, and she smiled at his well kept balance.

Murkystar ducked, and while her initial attempt had failed to escape, she'd loosened Mistyfalcon's grip anyways. Knowing he couldn't keep his grip, Mistyfalcon retaliated with a quick series of strikes, though his claws remained carefully sheathed. This spar could go either way, he knew, so had to make his attacks count.

Murkystar's eyes narrowed and with a sudden push upwards she dislodged Mistyfalcon. As he landed, she darted behind him and grabbed hold of his scruff, preventing him from moving too much.

Murkystar darted behind him, and Mistyfalcon wasn't quite quick enough in following her movement as her teeth caught his scruff. He'd managed to turn towards her just enough that he could catch Murkystar with a front paw, though the angle was awkward.

Just as she had hoped, the angle prevent Mistyfalcon from getting a good hit on her. Continuing to hold his scruff, she made sure to keep herself behind him.

Swiftheart leaned in watching her two parents battle it out. This was entertaining stuff. They were so equally matched and had been fighting for along time with equal blows back and forth!
This was a match for the ages. dad was currently being held in a teeth grip by mom.
Come on dad! Get out of it! You can win this time she cheered her father and old mentor on. She put heavy emphasis on the this knowing the track record was 3-0... or was it 4-0 ... hmm it was some high number to 0. She was cheering for the underdog and she knew it... all the more reason to cheer him on right? Who knows, maybe Mistyfalcon would finally win... she hoped so.

Mistyfalcon took another awkward swipe at Murkystar, though it had become obvious who had won their spar. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were enjoying handing my tail to me again." He smirked, words were too low for anyone but Murkystar to hear, though it was clear he wasn't bothered by the knowledge of this loss, either.
Swiftheart's words caught his ears, and his eyes narrowed slightly at the emphasis on 'this' time. Brat, he thought, whiskers twitching.

Murkystar released his scruff, confident that the fight was over. She smiled at his comment, leaning forward to whisper back. "Who's to say I'm not enjoying it?" She purred, rasping her tongue over his cheek as she moved to stand in front of him and raised a sheathed paw, bapping it against the top of his head.
