Subject: Swiftkit's Apprentice Ceremony Sun 5 Dec 2021 - 20:01
Nightpaw's sister would be the next kit to become an apprentice. Swiftkit, though the same age, was being apprenticed a few days later. She seemed simply a little more... excitable. He had seen her occasionally, zipping across camp with that kit-like energy. Would she ever lose it? Only time would really tell. So Frostgaze leaped onto the Jaggedrock, never ceasing to marvel at the height he gained from it. He wasn't very used to being tall. "Shadowclan, gather in the shadow of the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" Swiftkit, he had heard, had been asking her father to be her mentor. Mistyfalcon was one of Shadowclan's best warriors, a cat he would trust any day. He would train his daughter well, and was arguably a better choice than Burningwing.

Swiftkit quivered in excitment she couldnt sit still (which was nothing out of the ordinary for her). She pawed at the ground happily.
On starclan if I dont get Mistyfalcon... she thought to herself hoping that frostgaze would give her top pick
For once, her fur was actually well groomed and looked really nice. She usually didnt care about appearances at all. She looked way better with it taken care of for this special occasion.
Swiftkit thought back to nightkits/paw's ceromony literally a few days ago how he showed no emotion at all... Swift was the exact opposite she grinned from ear to ear and bounce in every step.

Frostgaze's ever-watching eyes followed Swiftkit as she bounced onto the scene, pep in her step and no signs of her smile going away. It was good to see a quality that he himself lacked in the clan. The next generation would do well to have some more... joyous members of it. He couldn't say he was a very joyous cat himself. "Shadowclan! I have gathered you here to witness the naming of a new apprentice. Swiftkit, step forward." The deputy allowed Swiftkit to take her steps forward before he continued with his speech. "Swiftkit, you have reached the age of six moons and are ready to become an apprentice. From this day forward, until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Swiftpaw. Mistyfalcon will be your mentor, I trust that your father will pass down all he knows to you." With his words finished, the short tom leaped from the Jaggedrock, landing with a thud. Mud splattered up onto his pelt, and he looked at it with exasperation in his eyes. Sometimes he wondered how in Starclan's name he was a Shadowclan cat through and through.

Frostgaze had called the clan together for a meeting, and Mistyfalcon smiled to himself at Swiftkit's seeming endless excitement. Her fur had been meticulously groomed for once, a small miracle in itself, though how long it would stay that way was anyone's guess. Especially with Shadowclan's marshy territory.
The ceremony was over in a blink, with Mistyfalcon being named her mentor. She'd been asking about that for a while, and truthfully Mistyfalcon was just happy she wasn't given to someone like Burningwing.
Mistyfalcon padded forward, gently touching his nose to his daughter's. "Congratulations, Swiftpaw," He mewed, "Why don't you go and get your new nest together? I'll take you out into the territory tonight."
She nodded listening to his orders and happily bounded off to go collect moss for her new bed location of the apprentice den instead of the nursery.
When she had finished building her new "home" she sat outside the apprentice den happily her tail flicking back and forth. She had put her nest next to her brother Nightpaw's
and Firepaw's (who she didn't know much about but was eager to get to know him more).
OOC: (I would think we can close this topic but will leave it alone in case someone else wants to add anything)

Murkystar padded forward as the ceremony drew to a close, smiling and briefly twining her tail with Mistyfalcon's as she stopped next to him and looked down at the newly named Swiftpaw. "Congratulations, Swiftpaw. I'm so proud of you." She purred as the apprentice bounded towards the apprentice den to set up her new nest. Turning briefly to Mistyfalcon, she found herself relieved that he had been named as their daughter's mentor. She would be in far better paws than Nightpaw.
