a peaceful night (open)

A cold wind blew across the sleeping camp. Minnowkit's short grey fur wasn't keeping much of the cold out, making him shiver. He longed to go back to sleep and cuddle in his mother's warmth. However, he stayed rooted at the nursery entrance, his wide yellow eyes searching the cloudy night sky for the dots of light that gave him comfort. What were they? He sat there patiently waiting for the midnight sky to clear, his soft grey paws kneading the ground in anticipation.
