Peaceful mourning [OPEN]

As Maplebloom padded to fourtrees with a thrush in her mouth, she thought about her old friend, Goldenrose. Why did she have to get bit by an adder? She thought. And die? Soon, the brown tabby she-cat bumped onto someone. "Oh, I'm sorry!" Once she looked up, she noticed that it was just the rock that leaders stand on during gatherings. She sighed and climbed to the top, laying down the thrush and herself once she got up there. Maplebloom looked around at the beautiful sight. Morning dew drops hung onto tall grass and leaves, sparkling in the sunlight. The leaves were just barely starting to change into reds, oranges, and browns, signaling that leaf-fall was on it's way. The air smelled sweet like flowers and sap from trees. Maplebloom relaxed and closed her eyes. Soon after, a sound made her eyes shoot open again. The warrior sniffed the air. "Smells like another cat is near," she said to herself as she unsheathed her claws.

EagleWing appeared with a vole in his mouth. His eyes were closed and it was obvious he didn't sense Maplebloom there. Soon, the strong wind hit his face with a ThunderClan scent. He quickly opened his eyes and saw Maplebloom nearby. Why didn't I sense her before? And what's she doing here? The white warrior padded to the other warrior. "Greetings Maplebloom."

Lightningpaw scented some cats when he was hunting. The tom slunk forward, wondering if they were cats from other Clans. When he arrived at Fourtrees, he noticed that the cats were Maplebloom and Eaglewing. "Hello," he mewed, trotting up to the rock and leaping up onto it.

EagleWing turned his head because he heard another voice. "What's up?" He said to Lightningpaw. He was always cool that's just his nature. "What's your name?"

"Lightningpaw," he replied, licking a paw and drawing it casually over his ear.

(I'm going to go ahead and wait for Bloom.)

EagleWing watched the tom apprentice. "Cool name, my name is EagleWing. Nice to meet you." He said coolly and sat down. He turned his head to glance at Maplebloom.

OOC: sorry, I was at church

IC: Maplebloom relaxed once she saw that it was another Thunderclan cat. She nodded her head in greeting. "Hello." Then, as another cat came into view, this time an apprentice, she nodded to him also. "Hi, Lightningpaw." She sighed sadly and thought about her old friend.

EagleWing tilted his head at the warrior. She doesn't look like she's okay. He walked closer to Maplebloom and sat across from her. "Do you mind telling me what's wrong?" He patiently waited for her to reply.

Ooc: I just got back from church, too.

Lightningpaw nodded at Eaglewing, and looked over at Maplebloom.

Maplebloom looked down at her paws. "Goldenrose died at Snakerocks, she got bit." Oh how the she-cat missed their little bickers and the golden warrior's voice.

EagleWing flattened his ears at the bad news. He didn't know Goldenrose, but warriors dying wasn't happy at all. A cat with a cold-heart would be happy to hear about someone dying-- but not EagleWing. "Wow, I'm sorry to hear about that." He looked up at Maplebloom. "Even though you can't see her now, she's always with you-- in StarClan. And in your heart," The handsome white warrior replied with warmth in his tone.
