A peaceful ending. A sad death topic. (OPEN TO DA PUBLIC)

Swiftfoot was old now. She had recently become an elder, and her kits were growing up. She was sick though. Greencough had struck, and she was suffering. Honeypaw came every day to help her, but she always sent her away, not wanting her to get sick. She didn't find any cat-mint anywhere, and she was sure her time was soon. She walked out to camp and walked to her only daughter. "Honeypaw." She rasped. "Yes, mother?" Honeypaw said. "Honeypaw, I just want you to know I love you, your brothers, and you're father very much." "W-Why are you telling me this?" "Because, my honey drop, I'm dying." "What? No, you.. You can't be! You have to watch all of us get our warrior names and.. And..." "Hush, Honeypaw. I'll always be with you... Please get your father and brothers... I want to die surrounded by my family, and if anyone wants to come and see me, that is okay, but nobody loves me anymore." "Don't say that. I love you, mom. I'll miss you, but I love you..." Swiftfoot smiled at her daughter and touched noses with her before going to the elders den. Honeypaw ran off to get her family.

CloudPatches looked in a saw SwiftFoot laying down. He limped over and laid down next to her. He wasnt as old as her yet but the wounds from his fall in the tunnels and the badger fight would be a long lasting heal. As he nuzzled her he said. "Oh SwiftFoot I never thought I'd lose you too. I always believed we'd be able to grow old together." He licked her cheek.

Ghostpaw padded into the elders den shortly after being found by his sister. Padding over to his mother Ghostpaw laid down beside her and pressed his flank to hers, knowing he would not move from that spot until she moved herself or she went to Starclan. Snuggling a little closer Ghostpaw closed his eyes and breathed in the scent of his mother repeatedly, trying to imprint it to his memory.

"I love all of you...." She said and began to close her eyes. No! You can't go yet! Moonpaw and Jackalpaw haven't come to say goodbye yet! Struggling to keep her eyes open, she lifted her head. "W-where are Jackalpaw... And.. And Moonpaw...?"

A single tear streamed down his face as Ghostpaw opened his eyes and watched his mother struggle to keep herself alive. "Honeypaw is looking for them... I love you mom...." Ghostpaw says softly and another tear streaks down his face.

Moonpaw bounds into the elder's den, breathing hard from running so fast to get there. "She can't die."he thought over and over again. Padding up to his mother, Moonpaw pressed his nose against her and said in the low meow of a cat filled with sadnesses,"Goodbye Mom. May you find peace with Starclan."

Swiftfoot sighed as sweet smile spread across her face. "I... I love all of you so much... Cloudpatches, I'm glad I got to raise a family with you. Please, take care of them while i'm gone..." Noticing Honeypaw come back with no such luck of finding Jackalpaw. Swiftfoot coughed. "Tell Jackalpaw, I... I love him, too...." And with a final cough, she lay still, her warm fur turning cold as her spirit left for Starclan.

Honeypaw ran back through the cold, crisp, winter air, and she ran in through the elders den. Her mother died almost as soon as she got there, and everything happened fast. She broke into tears, and she pressed her face intoo her mothers flank. "No! You can't go! Please! Please.."

CloudPatches watched as his mate's fur started to grow cold. He nuzzled her and said. "I promise to look after them. I promise by StarClan." He looked at his kits and then back to SwiftFoot how could he lose her now?

Ghostpaw let out a single, powerful mourning wail before standing and padding out of the elders den silently. Before anyone could stop him and ask why tears were streaming down his face or why he wore an expression of sorrow Ghostpaw bounded out of camp. He knew he needing to do something to calm himself and staying in camp with his dead mother would not help.

Moonpaw looked at the rest of his family and said,"I'll go check on him, make sure he is ok."  Without another word, Moonpaw bounds out of the elder's den, a place he would never look at the same again.
