The new kit to TC (All TC cats welcome)

Featherdall growled. "She better never touch my kit again." She hissed to Deadfrost, nuzzling his face, then looking down to Rainkit. "YOu do" She said looking out of the nursery.

"Featherfall, don't worry. I'll get this under control."
She said, and stepped outside to Beechkit.
"Beechkit, everything will be fine."
She said, trying to comfort the kit.

Deadfrost nodded to Sunset. "Thanks." He looked down at Rainkit. "Yes, your correct. A warrior's only duty isn't to fight, he or she must be kind to one another and care for those in need. They also must respect their leader an deputy all the same. If they make a mistake or get in trouble, they will face the consequences." He gave his chest a lick. "I broke the warrior code once, I ate without feeding the Clan, so I had to hunt at dawn for the rest of the moon. I didn't complain because Goldenstar's word is law." Deadfrost enjoyed telling kits about his past.

Featherfall looked at Rainkit. "Yes, but if your and apprentice, and you make a mistake, you can always redeem yourself. But when your a Warrior, it is very hard too." She said, her usual kidding tone taking on a serious edge. "I remember once when I was an apprentice, I wasn't being very smart and let a fight with two friends get the better of me. I ran off and ended up attrachting a fox. Good thing Sunset and I got away safely, thanks to Leopardheart." She said with a smile. Featherfall had a lot of adventure stories.

"I don't know why I try." she purred sadly.

Deadfrost pressed his nose to Featherfall's cheek. "She's right, Rainkit. Warriors are expected to know better than apprentices, so they have a hard time geting out of trouble." He cuffed his son around the ear. "I got off easier because I admitted my mistake right to Goldenstar... I was very nervous."

Featherfall smiled and wrapped her tail with Deadfrost's. "Your dad's a very honest tom." She said to her kit. "You could learn a lot from a cat like him." Feather nodded, like she was confirming what she was saying.

Deadfrost flushed under his fur. "Thank you. I just want my son to grow up into the best warrior he can be."

Rainkit stared wide-eyed at his mother and father. "Wow! I wanna be a great warrior like you-" He looked at Deadfrost. "-and an adventurer like you!" he mewed to Featherfall.

Meanwhile, outside, Sunset was saying,
"It's ok to be mad at someone, and yes, cats can be annoying. Very annoying. But we all need to restrain ourselves in times such as this."

"Everytime I try, he justs, justs, ugh!" she mewed

Deadfrost rose to his paws and padded out of the den. "Listen, Beechkit," he said less angrily. "It wasn't right to attack Rainkit, and you know that. But I will forbid Rainkit to do the same to you. I'm sorry for snapping at you."

Rainkit followed his father. He marched up to Beechkit. "I'm sorry for glaring at you." He ran back in and right into Featherfall.

Featherfall didn't say anything, just licked Rainkit's head, ruffling his fur. She sighed, but did not leave the nursery. "Im sorry for getting upset with you Beechkit." She said, wrapping her tail tightly around Rainkit.

"IT's okay, I shouldn't have tried to attak him." she said cuffing Rainkit's ear.

Featherfall stiffened, then loosened up again, and released Rainkit. "Maybe you two could go play around in the clearing." She said lightly.

Rainkit hesitated for a moment, then shook his head. "I'm tired."

Deadfrost licked his son's head, and winced. "I'd better get some more ointment for this wound." He padded out and vanished into the fern tunnel.
