Pride Moon [CLOSED]

The loud crack of thunder boomed overhead as the cats curled up in their dens, most of them fast asleep. It was the dead of night, so that was to be expected. Among them, though, one pair of green eyes blinked open, wide awake among the rest. Amberfluff gave a tiny shiver and huddled a little closer to Lilacstar, turning her ears down in an attempt to shut out the thunder. Amberfluff really wasn't the biggest fan of thunder. It was bad for her ears, since she was so sensitive to noises.

A soft rustle beside her woke Lilacstar, and she looked down to see Amberfluff, seemingly hiding in her fur. The storm was raging on, not looking as if it would stop anytime soon, and her beloved was clearly in distress. Of course she was, Amberfluff never was a fan of loud noises. She bent over, licking the top of her mate's head before resting her own on top, moving her tail to cover her ears.

"So, how was your day, love? Since we are awake, I want to hear all about it." It would be nice, talking about how their days went. Not only would it be a nice distraction from the storm overhead, but also a nice way to spend their time together. It was the simple things like that that Lilacstar enjoyed best, after all.

Amberfluff found herself incredibly glad that Lilacstar made no note on her fear of thunder, instead changing the subject to something a little more manageable. "Oh, it was a pretty normal day. I went out, managed to catch a rabbit-certainly didn't try the run-and-pounce thing from last time." She smiled fondly, remembering the embarrassment she had suffered the first time she had hunted with Lilacstar, Lilacpaw back then., when she had tried running and pouncing on a rabbit, causing her to fail the catch. One of the second-most embarrassing moments of her life, below being told to shut up by Lilacstar at a Gathering.
