Bearspirit finally lost his grip on the dog, and Swiftspirit redoubled her efforts, being careful to stay behind the dog as she rear up and slashed at it once more. Between the three warriors, they'd done a number on it. Blood flowed from numerous wounds, and Swiftspirit allowed herself a faint glimmer of belief that if the dog didn't decide to run soon, it might not get the chance at all. She struck with unsheathed claws quickly once more, ready to get this over with.
Swiftspirit used Rear-Up to Slash for -15sp, dealing -11 damage. Swiftspirit used Swift Strike for -10sp, dealing -4 damage.

The dog had had enough. It didn't even want to take another snap at the cats. They had proven to be formiddable. He would cut his losses for today and come back another day... and he would make sure that he killed the marbled cat. Shaking off the attackers, the dog spun on his heel and bolted. A last look over his shoulder, his bared his teeth menacingly. I'll be back for you. Maybe as a prize to himself, he'd crush the other two in his jaws at a later date as well.
Dog has fled!
Bearspirit sprinted after the dog for a few bounds, but common sense kicked in and told him that chasing the dog might not be the best idea. He came to a stop with a frustrated, spitting hiss. His teeth and claws were bloodied... once again smeared with blood that was not his own. He turned around to go back to the other two cats, his fur still standing on end making him look massive. His eyes flicked to the Shadowclanner, of which he gave her a grateful nod, before his eyes went to Swiftspirit.
"Are you okay?" She didn't appear to be injured, thank the stars, but he had to ask anyway.
Moonshine was relieved as the dog bolted away. She hadn't been expecting it, as the tales she had heard of dogs was that they'd rather die than run from cats. This one was smarter... she didn't know if she found that thought comforting or not. As the tom bolted after the dog, she made a move to go after him, to tackle him and stop him from doing something foolish. She knew there was some kind of link between the two, which meant his emotions might run away with him. Alas, she didn't need to chase far, as he came to his senses on his own and halted the pursuit.
"It looks like everyone is alright... I'm sorry for... uh... well dropping in so suddenly I guess." And eavesdropping. But she didn't know that she wanted to say that quite yet. "I'm Moonshine of Shadowclan. I think I have seen you two at the Gatherings but... your names slip my mind." She knew the Windclanner was Swiftspirit, but she'd allow the other she-cat to make her own introduction if she so chose. If the Riverclan tom hadn't screamed her name out earlier, she wouldn't have known.

Swiftspirit was relieved when the dog ran... But she knew predators. Dogs were stubborn creatures, and stubborn creatures weren't likely to just leave their prey alone because they fought back once. That dog would come sniffing around eventually, she was sure of it. Killing it now would've been the better option, just she'd told Lilacstar about a fox they'd fought a few moons earlier.
Still, for now the fight was done, and after following Bearspirit and the Shadowclanner, the lanky Windclan warrior's flicked over each of them in turn. No injuries that she could see, though they were all liberally covered in dog blood. Could've been worse, much worse.
"I'm fine, you?" Bearspirit's concern wasn't needed, she told herself. At least he couldn't see the way her fur burned at the thought.
The Shadowclanner spoke up then, introducing herself (and providing a distraction, thankfully) as Moonshine. "Swiftspirit," She introduced herself, though she was sure that Moonshine had probably heard Bearspirit call her name earlier. "Well fought, I wasn't expecting anyone else to be here." It wouldn't have been the same outcome if there had only been two of them fighting that dog, she was certain.
