"I don't think I have either," she responded, "although it would be nice to some day. One of those could probably feed five cats for a day." She went to catch something else, but did not know what. Then she saw a lizard running out of a bush. Same as before, she got low, but wasn't as worried about catching it this time. Or at least wasn't as worried about getting injured if she did not catch it.
Quickly, she jumped forward, her paws almost right on it. It got crushed under her paws, making a small crunching noise, but that was it. It had a quick death, which she was happy about. She walked over to Birdsong after she buried the lizard. "So, how much have you caught so far?"
Ashstorm used 3 SP to catch a lizard. The catch was successful! 188SP / 200SP

"They probably could." Birdsong agreed, turning once more to find her own prey. A soft rustling alerted her to movement, and the gray tabby went still, jaws slightly parted. Squirrel. With how much had already been caught, they were going to need to head back soon to avoid making a second trip.
Birdsong crouched, stalking towards the squirrel. Her fangs caught the creature quickly, and she turned to retrieve the rest of her catch and head back towards Ashstorm. Three squirrels and two birds was... Actually a lot more to carry than she thought it would be.
"I think... we're good to head back, Ashstorm." She spoke, needing to set down the prey to do so. It had been a successful hunt, at least, and for that they could be proud.
Birdsong attempted to catch a squirrel for -3 sp. Catch was successful. 105 / 120 sp

Ashstorm strayed off on her way to find Birdsong when she saw another rabbit. She got low, went forward slowly and leaped, attempting to catch it like she catch the other one. She sunk her claws into the neck of it and saw the blood drain out of the puncture wounds until it went limp. She picked it up and returned to Birdsong.
When her niece spoke, Ashstorm chuckled slightly. "Yeah..." she said back to her niece. We many have overdone it. Just a little bit." She was smiling most of the time for the first time in a while. Birdsong was amazing and she liked to think that Sneezingpaw would be like her in she was still in Skyclan, but there was no way to know. She was not here and it seemed pretty clear to Ashstorm that her and Mountainpaw had no intention of returning home.
Her smile faded for a moment, then made another smile quickly, this one slightly more fake than the other. "Great work, though!" And with that she quickly began to dig back up the prey and bring it back to Skyclan.
