Not So Different After All (closed)

Himbo Bob sighed as he lay down in the sandy clearing. How he desperately longed to go back to SkyClan's camp and lay beside Ashstorm, or play with Ferbo, but alas, his standard duties carried him back to his....home. Was it still that? He'd pledged his allegiance to Ashstorm, she was home. Dramatically sighing again, he rolled onto his back, thoroughly bored.

Looking over, he noticed a black and white pelt that was vaguely familiar... "Hey, Ichtaca!" He meowed a greeting, a wide, goofy grin on his maw. She was a Pelt Ward, and he knew she didn't like it, but he wasn't a Nightstriker so surely she had no reason to dislike him? She was settled in... FrogClan, if he remembered correctly.

Ichtaca had zero desire to be here. She had no one she cared for here. She didn't care for anyone here. And yet, she still returned here. Because she couldn't stay in ShadowClan camp forever, after all.

When the call reached her ears, she looked up, sighing when she saw who it was. Himbo Bob is kind of a mouse-brain, and she didn't have much of an opinion on him, but she had no desire to talk to anyone from thr Asylum. "Yes? What is it? She asked impatiently.

Himbo Bob blinked at her hostile tone. Did he say something wrong? Oh no, did he get her name wrong? Or maybe she preferred a nickname?? Hopefully he could salvage this. "So, uh, how's life in FrogClan? FlyClan has been good, I met the most amazing she-cat there, Ashstorm." A dreamy sigh escaped his maw, and his eyes filled with longing for his mate.

"Her family doesn't really like me, but I'm trying to change that. After all, I wouldn't want my mate's family to take their dislike of me out on our kits! So what about you? Have you made any friends in your Clan?"

Ichtaca didn't bother correcting Himbo Bob on ShadowClan's name, too absorbed in regretting leaving it. "ShadowClan's pretty good too." She started, before hearing Himbo Bob's words. Hope suddenly flared in her heart. Maybe there were other cats who were like her and wanted to stop the Asylum's rule?

"Yeah, I've made some friends. There's this one cat who-" Ichtaca glanced around for a moment, dropping her voice. "She taught me how to hunt and fight. Can you imagine? She's so awesome!" Maybe by giving away more, she can get Himbo Bob on her side?
