Fight Song [CLOSED]

Shimmerdust glared at the Asylum cats arouns as she headed for the exit of the camp before pausing. In case something happened, she did not want to have to deal with it alone. Maybe she should ask someone to come along with her. After all, while she preferred going out solo, an Asylum cat would be following anyways so it didn’t matter too much.

Looking around, Shimmerdust turned to the first cat she saw. RiverClan’s newly-appointed Deputy, Loonwhisper. She knew very little of him, but a person is a person. Besides, Loonwhisper had been the one Asylum had threatened to kill during their takeover. Maybe he should spend some time away from this crowd.

”LOONWHISPER! DO YOU WANT TO COME HUNTING WITH ME?” Shimmerdust called across the camp.

Loonwhisper touched the tip of his nose gently to the ground as he crouched in the center of camp. As his whiskers twitched over the dry bits of grass and dusty ground, he wondered if he could feel footsteps the way mice did... if only he could stand still enough. There were many vibrations around him, though, none stronger than his own. He was freezing, and no amount of fluffing his fur made him any less cold. As wild and unkempt as his pelt was, he had very little in the way of actual density. His coat was wispy, not thick in the slightest. He heard his own name halfway across the clearing and instantly perked up in alarm. Had he forgotten something already? It was so early!

No, of course, it was Shimmerdust inviting him out. Loonwhisper smiled at her in the same awkward, nearly frightening way, lips peeled back and crooked. Though he smiled as though in pain almost all the time, his body language made it much easier to read his expression, and he walked with fantastic perkiness as he followed his clanmate out. "Where will we go?" he hummed. "It is very nice just to move."

Loonwhisper always made an effort not to be picky, though his heart yearned to ice-fish today. It was Shimmerdust's hunt, not his.

Shimmerdust shrugged. She didn't have much of an idea where to go either. "I guess we'll just head out and see what comes our way?" She offered, trotting forwards and out of camp. One of the Asylum guards joined them quickly, staying back and eyeing them both with suspicion.

They headed out into the territory, and Shimmerdust chose a random direction to strike out towards. It brought them close to a stream, which was frozen over. Shimmerdust had recently heard of the art of ice fishing, and she guessed they could maybe put it to use.

Suddenly, a loud crunch sounded. Shimmerdust whipped her head around just as something sharp thrust itself deep into her side, inflicting a deep wound. Yowling out, she spun and slashed at her opponent without much thought. A second glance told her this was a wild goose, out for blood.

Goose used Beaked Thrust, dealing 20 dmg and costing 40 SP!
Shimmerdust used Front Paw Strike, dealing 11 dmg and costing 10 SP!
