The Other Side [c]

The sun was high in the sky, but, as Primroselight had been out late the night before, she was only just setting off for her first patrol of the day. She had been told that it would be with Honeycomb, a she-cat who was far to close to Dawnhawk for her liking. He probably tricked her or something, she thought, unable to believe that more and more cats were beginning to trust the traitor. Probably did the same to Ashstorm, filling her with lies. Still, she didn't have anything directly against Honeycomb, just the cats she associated with.

"Hey Honeycomb," She said, her voice lacking some of its usual warmth. "Are you ready to go?"

Honeycomb didn't know Primroselight much, only that the she-cat was Dawnhawk's sister. Nodding at the she-cat, before remembering that someone told the ginger molly that Primroselight was blind, she spoke out her confirmation instead, wanting to smack herself for forgetting that. "Yeah, I'm ready." Contemplating about where they could go, the she-cat decided on the forest, leading the small patrol towards the trees. As the first branches appeared, Honeycomb instantly started to look for prey in the skies, thinking that she could catch a bird. A rather plump looking robin landed on a lower branch of a tree and Honeycomb took the opportunity, dashing up the tree trunk with her claws hooked in the bark. Jumping and landing onto the same branch the robin was on, Honeycomb moved closer and closer towards her catch. A shriek shocked both the robin and herself, and Honeycomb's yellow-green eyes widened. "Owl! Primroselight, careful!" Leaping down the tree and backing away as the owl dived down at the young warrior, the ginger she-cat ducked its attack, before raking her claws down the feathery underbelly of the owl. Screeching in pain, the owl flew up, circling the patrol. Spitting out the disgusting feathers, Honeycomb waited for the next attack.

Honeycomb tried to catch a bird! Catch unsuccessful and an owl appeared! Honeycomb used Belly Rake!

Primroselight's ears pricked at Honeycomb's warning, and she readied herself to leap. Even is she wasn't sure if she liked the younger warrior yet, she couldn't leave her to fend for herself. "Don't worry, I'm coming!" The rouge that had followed them out of camp had, of course, done nothing, even though he had probably seen the bird coming. At this point, Primroselight would much prefer to attack him, but Honeycomb needed help, and she didn't want to end up like Bloodstrike.

Ignoring the Asylum cat, she leaped towards the owl, who had begun to dive again. She landed on top of it and managed to wrestle it to the ground, taking away its advantage. "Honeycomb! Attack quickly while it's down!" They could probably kill the bird easily if they worked together, and still leave enough time to hunt later.

The owl screeched in anger as the larger and more experienced cat wrestled it to the ground. It's eyes focused on Primroselight, talons stretching out...Until Honeycomb launched forward, kicking the owl strongly on the side. The owl's beady brown eyes focused back on Honeycomb and it flew up into the air again, scratching her back with its sharp talons. Biting back a cry of pain, the ginger she-cat hissed at the owl instead, hoping that her blow had dealt enough damage. "Primroselight! The owl is focused on me! I'm fine, but it might go for you next!" The owl shrieked, hoping to scare the cats off. They weren't as weak as it imagined they would be and continued spiralling above their heads.

Honeycomb used back kick, dealing 10 damage and costing 15 SP. Owl used Talon Strike on Honeycomb, dealing 10 damage and costing 10 SP

Primroselight trusted Honeycomb's word and readied herself the owl to attack. She heard it come swooping towards her once again, but she was now prepared. Rearing up on her hind legs, she brought her paws crashing down onto the large bird's head. She didn't think that it would be enough to kill it, but with one more blow, their job would probably be done. "One more hit!" She called, hoping that she was right. The owl was falling quickly, struggling as the two powerful warriors took their blows.

Honeycomb charged towards the owl, hitting at its face with one sheathed paw. The attack was easy enough to perform, but she could only hope that it had dealt enough damage. The owl screeched in anger one last time, before flopping to the ground, dead. Honeycomb let out a loud sigh of relief and checked herself and Primroselight for injuries. The ginger she-cat had gotten some scratches on her back from the owl, but she supposed that it was fine. Honeycomb didn't want to head over towards Beechface, that would only cause more trouble. Turning towards Primroselight, the ginger-gold she-cat looked towards the owl, then back towards the other warrior. "Should we...continue hunting?"

"As you're up for it, sure!" Primroselight said, glad at how easily the owl had fallen. They could take the large bird back to camp as well, and combined with the prey they were about to catch, it would make a great contribution to the fresh-kill pile. "I'll just bury the owl quickly." Even if the fight was easy, it wouldn't be a good idea to leave it out and possibly attract foxes.

Once she had kicked enough dirt over the animal, her attentions turned to hunting. Due to the noise made when they fought the owl, she guessed most of the prey would've fled, and so she strayed away from Honeycomb a fair bit, nose twitching as it searched of prey scents. The call of a bird caught her immediate attention, and she padded towards it.

She leapt towards it, and felt the tip of her claws brush its tail. Hopefully it'll work next time. She hated missing prey, but it seemed to happen to her an unfortunate amount.
