Run Through the Jungle [CLOSED]

In the morning, at what Willowdance considered an appropriate time for training-in this case, a little later in the morning than usual, considering how cold it was-Willowdance headed for the Apprentices' Den. She was going to be bringing him out on a hunt. Of course, they would have to have an Asylum cat accompany them. And Sunflower, who was resting in the back of the Warriors' Den, could come as well. He was, after all, a more experienced Warrior. Willowdance was a very new Warrior as well and may need some validation on her own knowledge.

...Okay. Fine. That wasn't the whole reason that she wanted him around. Willowdance was hoping to spend some more time with him as well.

Stepping into the Apprentice's Den, Willowdance looked around and smiled at the familiarity. She recalled the last time her Mentor, Swansong, had done this. She had been jolted awake from a nightmare. What sort of reaction would Deerpaw have when she goes to call him? Of course, she couldn't say that Deerpaw will for sure be still asleep, since this was a little later than usual.

"Deerpaw? Deerpaw! We're going hunting!" She whispered. She then stepped out of the den to wait for Deerpaw.

In the meantime, she looked around and spotted Sunflower. "Sunflower! Do you want to come on a hunt with us?" She called. An Asylum cat would probably come over of their own accord.


((OOC: Plan for this is to have them-or at least Willowdance and Deerpaw-each do a hunting roll, then if no predator has been called yet, force a predator for the fighting requirement. Does that sound good?))

Deerpaw stood up quickly when he heard Willowdance calling him. The young apprentice had opened his eyes only a few moments ago, but now he was wide awake. He was about to go on his first hunt!

He hurried out of the Apprentice Den and scanned the clearing for WIllowdance. As his eyes adjusted to the bright sunlight he tried not to dwell on the shadowy figures that watched from the edges of the camp. Deerpaw knew an Asylum cat would have to accompany them on the hunt, but he hoped they would at least be easy to ignore.

"Good morning." He spotted Willowdance near the Warriors' Den, standing next to Sunflower. It was probably wise to bring a more experienced warrior with them, but Deerpaw was slightly surprised by her choice. The tom wasn't exactly known for his bravery... or competence. "Is Sunflower coming with us?"

Sunflower's timing was truly impeccable, or maybe every-cat just had such timing? Either way, the lengthy tom always seemed to regret leaving his den and wondered why he even bothered, other than the fact that he'd get his rump beat if he didn't...

Flinching at Willowdance's voice, Sunflower turned his amber gaze over to the tabby she-cat from the corner of the camp where he tried his best to slink about without being noticed. Even if he did enjoy Willowdance's company and wanted to spend more time with her, so much for his plan. Though the warrior had asked politely, he knew that her request was more of a well mannered demand and he knew that he had no choice.

"S-sure..." he muttered, making his way over to her and Deerpaw with his abormally long legs shivering and his tail tucked tightly under his rump. Hopefully he'd be able to keep his clumsiness under wraps today...

Willowdance grinned, nudging Sunflower gently with her head. "Thanks so much for agreeing to come along!" She meowed. Pulses of warmth ran through her chest, an unknown but pleasant feeling.

Turning to Deerpaw, she nodded. "Let's go. Someone's definitely going to spot us on the way out." She added, glancing at the Asylum cats around them. She hoped to avoid talking to them, which was unusual for her. Then again, she had been unusual ever since the Asylum arrived. The Asylum and Dawnhawk had taught her hate. She could safely say she was no longer the same Willowdance.

Waving her tail, Willowdance walked to the entrance of the camp. A tall, lanky black tom wearing a badger pelt stalked over to follow the group wordlessly, which Willowdance found herself grateful for. The lack of words, not the presence of the cat. She would rather he wasn't there at all, but this was better than having like Dawnhawk or something.
