Soot still streaked the camp, giving it a further dimmed appearance underneath the grey skies. Sunlight fought, and futily so, to pry through the blanket of clouds and bare clustering of trees that overlooked Skyclan. Efforts had been put into rebuilding the camp but the progress was hardly noticeable underneath the tendrils of heavy-laden precipitation drifting through the air. Shadows of warriors milling about in preparation for their patrols became obvious and soon, following suit, the rest of the clan began to rise. A yowl cut sharp through the fog, piercing the ears of those nearby; kits! Kits were missing! And there was no trace of their leave left behind.
OOC;; Maplekit, Blazingkit and Flamekit are missing from Skyclan. There is no trace of them or a trail left behind, it is simply as if they have vanished! The clan may seek out to find them, but it is highly unlikely there is anything to be found…

Blossomstep had retired to her nest weary, having spent the day helping rebuild and fortify the nursery with the other queens. Curling around Blazingkit, she slipped into a deep slumber... Awaking to darkness and a disturbing cold at her belly that should have been filled by her kit. Alarm shot through her being as she sat up, looking around the nursery while trying to subdue her rising panic. Blazingkit's scent was stale, and when she didn't immediately find him in the nursery she rushed out into the camp, sniffing the air frantically as the panic rose in her throat. "Blazingkit! Blazingkit, it's far too early to be out...." When her kit didn't respond, her fur stood on end and she searched each crack and cranny of the still fairly barren camp quickly. There were no lush bushes to hide in or fallen branches to shelter behind - where had he gone?? His scent led to the edge of camp, but past that.... Nothing. Eyes wide in terror now, she yowled out, hoping that Wolfcall was around, that anyone would hear and help. "Wolfcall!! Wolfcall, Blazingkit is missing he's not here he's gone I can't find him I don't know where he is his scent just disappears-" Her voice cracked as she turned to stare out into the gradually lightening forest. Where had her son gone?...

Smokefeather had been helping with the repairs to the nursery as well, pausing only to catnap in the nursery with Maplekit and Redfall's other kits before she'd be back outside and helping once more with repairs. With the colder weather approaching, the nursery would need to be finished, especially with several kits inhabiting it.
She'd awoken to the frantic yowls of the other queen outside the nursery, and her head snapped up in alarm. And little Blazingkit wasn't the only one missing, either. Maplekit's scent was stale, and one of the other kits appeared to be missing as well. Smokefeather grimly began searching the camp alongside Blossomstep, struggling to force down her own panic.
"Maplekit and Flamekit are missing as well." She called, voice betraying her own anxiety just as much as the rising fur across her back did.

Despite his various healing wounds, Wrenspring had hardly stopped to rest, until he managed to fall half-asleep against one of the camp walls he'd been helping to repair. His head twisted uncomfortably against the rock but the exhaustion had been too much. Not even the increasingly chilly air had roused him from the much needed sleep. There was only so much his body could handle and the warrior had certainly been testing its limits. At one point, he'd considered visiting Beechpaw but it had been a long forgotten thought as he remembered Sagelight and the time he'd spent in the medicine cat's den before the fire. Working on rebuilding the camp for his clan had been an easier feat. Until he had passed out doing so.
It wasn't the morning breeze or the sparse rays of sunlight that roused him, but rather the frantic calling of Blossomstep. Wrenspring sat up, wincing at the soreness of his neck and stiffness of the rest of his frame. Smokefeather was there. He shot her a quizzical look as he padded over, the concern obvious in his eyes, "What's going on? Did you say Maplekit and Flamekit are gone?" His own words rang with worry. He pictured the tiny scrap, Redfall's kit, and the sweet innocence about her. All of the other warrior's kits were wonderful and he'd taken it upon himself to spend as much time as possible with them in their father's absence. His tail flickered and his gaze darted around like he expected to see the familiar pelts somewhere.
Blossomstep was frantic and that fact alone worried a frown onto his maw, further than what was already there. He looked between the two she-cat before finally settling on Smokefeather, who was nearest to him, "We have to send out a search party. The two of us and a couple other warriors, maybe. They can't have gone far, right?"

Most of Wolfcall's might had been spent traveling the territory and refreshing scent markers. Most of SkyClan's borders had been burned away, and the entirety of the boundary needed to be reestablished. It was an exhausting task, and one that needed to be done sooner, rather than later, so it was one that the technically-leader of SkyClan had taken it upon himself to do. He'd gotten a large portion of ThunderClan's shared border remarked, and was returning to check on the others, when the sound of panicked voices hastened his emergence into the camp. "What's wrong?" He demanded, looking around wildly for the source of the disturbance. He padded to Blossomstep's side, listening to her panicked explanation, and then turning to Wrenspring as he started to organize a patrol.
He touched the tip of his tail to the warrior's shoulder in gratitude and then called out. "Blossomstep go to Beechpaw, and stay here in case they return. Wrenspring, Smokefeather, with me - we'll try and follow the trail. Everyone else, spread out and search the territory."

Honeypaw heard the commotion coming from outside of her den. Sitting up and ears flicking in the direction of the noise, Honeypaw dashed outside as soon as she caught the sound of her littermate's voice being said. "What about Maplekit?" The young apprentice asked, suddenly feeling protective. As Wolfcall turned to organise a patrol, Honeypaw turned towards the only familiar cat she knew, Smokefeather. "What about my sister?" She asked, raising her voice in frustration. Kneading the dirt between her paws as worry rose up in her chest, Honeypaw flicked her black-tipped tail once, the only small signs of her emotion. Don't get mad, don't get mad. Yowling at a warrior isn't right. They'll tell you. And if they don't...I'll look for her myself.

"We'll find her, Honeypaw." She mewed, gently touching her nose to the young apprentice's ear. Wrenspring and Wolfcall were right, the kits couldn't have gone far. She was worried, but the worst thing she could do was show it to the others right now.
She turned to wolfcall with a nod. Blossomstep had tracked her own kit to the edge of camp, and so it was there that Smokefeather would pick up. Hopefully they'd find the kits sooner rather than later.

Willowpaw came dashing as soon as she heard the yell, and soon figured out what was happening. "Oh. Oh, no..." She whispered, eyes wide in terror. Tears gathered up at the edge of her eyes at a horribly inappropriate timing, and she quickly blinked them back. She had to be strong for her clan!
She kept herself a good distance away, scared that she might burst into tears and affect everyone around her.

Primroselight awoke with the rest of her clan at the yowling of queens and warriors. She rushed out to know what was happening and soon heard the older warriors talking about the issue. Kits were gone. Three of them. It sounded as if they had just been whisked away without a trace. Honeypaw’s discomfort caught her attention, so she went to do check on her. She was the sister of one of the kits that had disappeared. Smokefeather had tried to comfort her, but the older warrior was about to leave the camp.
“Honeypaw, it’s fine, just like Smokefeather said - we’ll find her soon.” She reassured in a calming voice. This apprentice had a stubbornness about her that reminded the warrior of her sister Beechpaw, and when left by itself, could lead to reckless behaviour. “I’ll search the camp with you, come on.” After the clan being away from home for so long, it would be dangerously for an apprentice to be wondering around by herself, so searching the camp would be the best plan.
