At Peace [Open Clan Topic]

Rippedsky sat near the edge of the clearing as he watched the clan go about daily life. Everything was buzzing with activity. Unlike it being the urgency of leaf-bare, this was the excitement of newleaf. Kits were experiencing the warmth for the first time, apprentices were starting their training, and older cats were thrilled at the prospect of more prey. Hunting had started becoming easier again. It had been a long winter for all of them. Quite a few cats had been lost for various reasons. Breezewhisker had decided to leave, Eagleheart had been lost, and Snowstorm slain in the battle with Bear. However, everything had died down. Skyclan wasn't quarreling with any other clans at the time either. Instead of seeing it as boring, Rippedsky was enjoying having the freedom to train an apprentice right now and help run clan life. A contented sigh broke from his throat as he scanned the clearing.

The sun sat low in the sky, turning everything a mild orange. Prey had been caught for the day. Patrols were organized and done. Gorsepaw and him had time to go our for a little bit. For the most part, the day was done. It seemed like forever that he had simply had time to relax. The tom's tail tip flicked lazily. He half hoped that some of his clanmates, before they settled down, would stop for sharing tongues. He loved spending time with his clanmates. Despite the few unsure glances, most of them had warmed up to him. And even though Windclan blood flowed through his veins, this was his family.

Lilyheart was sore and exhausted, she had spent from dawn to that point in time training Swanpaw and hunting till her legs hurt she definitely felt the strain from all the climbing and jumping she was doing. She was proud of herself, she was constantly challenging herself to do better at her tree-hunting, not like she wasn't already great at it.

So when she saw Rippedsky all settled down, she thought that it'd be nice to strike up a conversation with the busy deputy after all they hadn't spoken much since the incident with her brother. Paws shifting from their position she padded up to the black and white tom and settled down beside him. "Hey Rippedsky, how are you this fine evening?" Lilyheart greeted some-what stiffly, her constant smile on her face still as she looked down at the deputy with a softness in her light-blue eyes.

Oceanlight came into camp with a couple of beech leaves wrapped up into bundles, along with what appeared to be dandelion. She set down the bundle and chewed the flowers. Juices dripped from her mouth onto her shoulder. She went onto her side and dripped it onto her back leg. She then put it on her front. After that, the juice stopped dripping. She buried the chewed up flower and got some moss with water and put some water in her mouth to wash out the tart taste of dandelion nectar. She spat out the water outside of camp. She walked into camp and grabbed the bundles and went into her den. She walked out and saw the SkyClan deputy, Rippedsky, and walked towards him. "Hello, Rippedsky." she greeted.

"Just fantastic," He leaned over slightly to lick the she-cat's ear in greeting. It was good to see her. The two of them had not had much time together in forever. Things had constantly been hectic for a long time now. The deputy was eternally grateful to the young warrior she-cat. Lilyheart had once stood up to her older brother for Rippedsky's sake. She was both trustworthy and loyal, things he looked for in a good warrior. Before he could say anything else to the younger cat, Oceanlight had come to join him. The medicine cat always seemed to be keeping herself busy.

"How are things going, Oceanlight? Finding herbs easier now with the warmth?" He dipped his black and white head to the medicine cat. Rippedsky knew next to nothing about the life of a medicine cat. However, he was determined to learn a little bit at some point. Since he had come to the clan, Oceanlight had always proven herself to be a skilled medicine cat. A purr of delight rumbled in his chest. Of all the clans, he had the best one.
