The dawn brings tidings (Open for 2)

The orange light of dawn washed up on the sides of the pale beech trees. Yellow and green patched grass seemed united by the hue of colour that embraced everything it touched. Including the pelt of a she-cat who stalked ever closer through the blades of dried grass. Every pawstep noiseless but the faintest of whispers from her pelt on the stunted blades. A dark shape pecked at the ground. The brown coloured bird seemed far too preoccupied with it’s choice of meal.

Worms did seem to enjoy the cool of night. The birds loved to take advantage of this.

Now she would take advantage of the bird. She stepped carefully closer, one more pace. Her tail lowered, pelt brushed the floor of the grass. Seven more. Lowered as she was, she figured she could take seven more steps until she was within it’s sight range on the ground. Before it would fly away.

Unless of course, another cat decided to lope in.
