"Of course Daisybloom. I always have time for my daughter." He purred, amber eyes blinked away the dredges of his nap while a smile lifted his muzzle. One that faltered at her explanation.
There was once a time that Oakstar would have been happy to have heard a single word from StarClan. His pelt prickled with dread at Daisybloom’s words. The last one had made him exile his granddaughter for treason. Now… fire. His head lowered thoughtfully. Their camp was relatively protected, not too in the way.
Still, a fire meant danger.
"If you saw twolegs, it might be from twoleg place… if that’s the case, we would need to begin heading towards WindClan." He paused, then looked at his daughter. She looked concerned, but not panicked. StarClan liked to be vague. "Of course, Starclan is not known to be particularly straightforward. It may not be an actual fire… but I’m not sure what else it could be." He frowned. "Unless it has to do with Rain." But then wouldn’t it be a rainstorm? His head tilted uncertainly. " Regardless, it is summer. Take some apprentices and warriors to scout around the ravine, we should try and keep the area around the camp clear, just in case. If a fire does happen, we can run to the nearest water."
He stood, then padded over to his daughter and nudged her shoulder softly. His chest swelled with pride as he looked at the young she-cat who had become a medicine cat… in what felt like a day.
"Thank you for bringing me this message Daisybloom. I don’t say it enough, but your mother and I are proud of you."
