Who knew clan cats could be so nice? (closed)

Twig decided to try her luck at thunderclan territory for hunting. The other clans had just attacked her! Maybe she could score some good prey here... She leapt up into a tree to get a better view and to make sure she wasn't seen. She leapt down and stalked towards a mouse, waiting to pounce.

Walking alone in the forest made Thrushpaw uneasy. She wasn’t really supposed to hunt alone yet, but there were bigger beasts to fear than broken rules—things like the dogs who’d attacked ThunderClan, or maybe even Rainstrike. So when a shape darted out of the trees nearby, she promptly ducked behind the nearest tree trunk. The shape didn’t follow. As her heartbeat settled, she saw it for what it was: a brown tabby she-cat (maybe a she-kit) with dark stripes, not too different from Thrushpaw herself. Slowly, Thrushpaw’s ears swiveled forward. She’d gone on plenty of patrols with Nettlefire and some other warriors, but she’d never run into a cat she didn’t recognize.

The warrior code said to challenge all trespassing cats. Thrushpaw wasn’t sure how she felt about that, but she was sure she wanted to know what this stranger was up to, more for curiosity’s sake than ThunderClan’s. Bracing her paws against the ground, she took a deep breath. Then she jumped out from behind the tree. ”Who are—“ At once, Thrushpaw noticed the kit’s strange posture—crouched, as if she were about to pounce on something. Something Thrushpaw might've scared off. Her voice went quiet. ”Oh. Oops.”

Twig's head quickly turned, her eyes were slits and her ears were back. She was ready to- Oh wait... Just another apprentice, and they didn't even seem mad! Weird.... She calmed down a little bit and turned around. She seemed just annoyed now.

Though Thrushpaw flinched at the stranger’s glare, her paws stayed rooted to the spot. Everything she’d learned in her apprenticeship, from sparring to hunting different types of prey, had a method; in the end, it all boiled down to patience. This had to be the same. After a moment, the stranger turned around the rest of the way. Her expression was…not encouraging, but she didn’t seem quite so ready to attack. A frown flitted across Thrushpaw’s face. Talking to new cats had never come naturally to her. Still, it seemed like the only option. Her first question had been a decent start. ”Who are you?” she meowed, tilting her head as she stared into the kit’s narrowed eyes. What made her feel more at ease around someone new? ”I'm Thrushpaw…and Mermurr. They’re both my names.”

"I'm Twig." She said simply, still looking annoyed and angry. "I'm guessing your a clan cat, ain't you supposed to chase me out or somethin?" SHe asked, fully turning around.
