Cedarheart sniffed the fox just a moment too late. ”Quailpaw!” she cried out. Running past her apprentice and towards the predator, she turned, kicking the bushy-tailed mammal with her hind legs, then scrambling away before it could rebound. She stood in front of the younger tom, cursing in her mind. She didn’t want to have him get hurt, and he had just battled not so long ago. The best thing that could happen would be the fox scurrying off, so she mostly just wanted to frighten it. But if it decided to stay, she would have to fight it pretty hard before it went away.

The fox slithered through the undergrowth, like it was a snake, as it crept up to the grey tabby tom. It let out a low growl ready to attack the tom. But before it even had a chance to do so, a cat attacked it. It clearly wasn't the grey tabby tom but still if something had attacked it, it would attack back.

The fox bit down on Cedarheart's back, crunching down.

Cedarheart winced as the fox bit down on her back. At least it hadn’t been Quailpaw, though. A bite like that could have crippled him permanently, or even killed him. She watched him charge into battle, and it made her grateful for him, but he shouldn’t get hurt. She tried to stand, but her back throbbed. Luckily, she spotted a a familiar pelt. ”Daisybloom!” she cried out.

Daisybloom had been on a herb hunt when she heard the sounds of battle. She rushed in, holding some herbs she had been collecting. ”Here,” she pressed some cobwebs into the wounds of the warrior, and nudged some poppy seeds her way. Cedarheart ate them gratefully.

Feeling her strength start to return, she slid under the fox and raked at it’s stomach angrily.

Daisybloom used Heal on Cedarheart, costing 15 stamina and restoring 5 health.

The two cats attacked the fox with a new cat coming in and healing the she-cat that it had attacked. Growling the fox grabbed the apprentice by the leg and bit down on the grey tabby tom's leg and thrashed him around.

Quailpaw was ready to keep fighting when the fox grabbed his hind leg. Pain hit him like a monster hitting an aware kit. Quailpaw could definetly tell that he had at least one broken bone in his hind leg. But with all the pain it was hard to tell. With all the pain, he couldn't even move.

Cedarheart watched with fear as the fox thrashed around her apprentice. ”Quailpaw!” she cried out. Daisybloom rushed over to him, but she wouldn’t be able to heal him. ”Cedarheart, I could take him back to camp, it might be safer there.” turning toward Quailpaw, she asked, ”I’m gonna take you back to camp, alright.” She hoisted him up onto her back and tried to start walking away.


The warrior turned back to the fox, angrier than before. It had hurt her apprentice, badly. She leapt onto it, pinning it down to the forest floor with a hiss. She held it under her grasp, angrily fighting it’s struggles.

Cedarheart used Leap and Hold, dealing 11 damage and costing 10 stamina. It is effective for 1 turns!

The fox let out a low growl as the cat pinned it down. After a lot of struggling the fox managed to break free. Injured the fox ran off before the cat could inflict anymore damage on it.

The fox is no longer pinned. Fox has run away!

Daisybloom had already made it about halfway to camp as the fox fled. Hearing it’s struggles she let out a relieved sigh. She knew Cedarheart would make her way back to camp fine on her own. She entered camp and dropped Quailpaw off at the medicine den, hoping to heal him more.

Cedarheart watched it run away, growling at it angrily. It better not come back, she thought. Quickly turning back toward camp, she made her way towards the medicine den to see if her apprentice was alright.
