Rushing Emotions (CLOSED)

Streampaw woke up late. Too late. Once again, her pelt was ruffled and messy. She groaned as she remembered that weeks before, she had promised to fix the moss so that it wouldn’t get stuck in her fur. Grumbling, she headed to the warriors den. Dawn patrol probably left already Streampaw thought, relieved to see that Applefang was the only warrior still sleeping. She decided to wake him up. Streampaw grinned slyly. If my pelt is messy, yours should be too... Then, she leaped onto Applefang, throwing moss everywhere. “WAKE UP!” She yowled loudly. “Wake up before I throw you into the river!” Streampaw teased.

Applefang woke up with a start. It seemed Streampaw was waking him up. ”Good morning to you too!” he grumbled sarcastically, but stood up and lightly slapped her with his tail, a playful grin on his face.

“Yes, yes morning morning.” Streampaw practically dragged the heavy warrior out. “Come on, we got things to do. We need to hunt, we need to plaaaaaayyyyy...” She dragged out her words. “I don’t want to do my elder duties.” She winked at him.

Applefang laughed. ”Ok, Long-Tail!” he said. He hoped she wouldn’t be offended by the nickname. It was just like how she called him “Long Legs.” Applefang nudged her. ”What do you wanna do?” he asked the apprentice.

“Hmm...” With that, Streampaw shoved him into the river with a splash. “WATER WARS!” She yelled, splashing water at him. “That’s revenge for calling me long tail!” She yowled playfully. She didn’t really mind the nickname, it was funny anyways.

Applefang gasped as he was thrust underwater. ”You’re gonna pay for that!” he joked, pulling her into the water. He splashed at her before swimming away.

“EEEP!” Streampaw shrieked, as she was pulled down as well. Every fish ten mouse tails away were probably scared away, but she didn’t mind. Her first priority was to defeat Applefang in water wars. Streampaw took a deep breath, then slammed her fore paws inside the water, creating a flurry of bubbles that tickled her muzzle. She used that as a distraction, then swam through the bubbles suddenly. “Boo!” She mouthed.

Applefang shot up, laughing. She had startled him. ”Ah!” he helped in surprise. He suddenly dive down, and swam underneath her. Then he popped up behind her, tapping her on the head with a laugh.

“Applefang? Apple—“ Streampaw shrieked as he bopped her on the head. “Oh, StarClan, I think part of me just floated to Silverpelt!” The hansome ginger tom’s emerald green eyes sparkled with laughter, and suddenly Streampaw stared to blush. Again, she dunked her head underwater to hide her face, hoping the water could cool her face.

Applefang laughed, and saw Streampaw rush underwater. ”You ok?” he asked, his green eyes concerned.

“F—Fine! Everything’s absolutely perfect!” Streampaw stammered. Her pelt grew hot again. Rivulets of water dropped down her whiskers and fur. She stared at Applefang, probably a bit too long. She averted her emerald green eyes, staring at the river instead. Streampaw’s intese gaze at the river made her seem like she was staring at a gigantic fish. At least its better than staring at ApplefangShe told herself.

Applefang nodded, not really believing it. He felt her gaze, and looked at her, their green eyes meeting. They both dropped the gaze at the same time. He looked up awkwardly, trying to break the silence. ”Uh...what should we do now?” he asked, and he felt his pelt growing warm.

‘Hunt again, I guess?” Streampaw kept on staring at her paws. Then, she lifted her gaze. “The Clan needs more food...” That was a lame excuse, but it was the only one that she could think of. Strangely, she wanted to spend more time with Applefang.


OOC: I guess during hunting Applefang can admit?

Applefang nodded. He pulled himself out of the water, and mischievously shook out his fur, drenching Streampaw. He stuffed a laugh as he prepared to hunt.

Streampaw jumped out of the water too, shaking out her fur, but getting more drenched by Applefang, She purposely shoved past him, smacking her long tail on his muzzle. Streampaw pretended to look surprised. “Oh, I’m so sorry, didn’t see you there.” With that, she took off into the forest. Almost immediately, Applefang caught up with her easily. As they headed deep into the woods, Streampaw spotted a chafinch on a low branch. “Ooh...a bird...Long Legs, do you want to try or should I?”
