Where fools dare not tread (Closed)

Fools.

That is what the current leaders of ThunderClan and WindClan were. It is what the wretched deserters and betrayers of their precious code are. Brackenstar’s muzzle curled in a snarl as he padded slowly towards a pale bundle of stars that marked an old place. Familiar in its darkened and shrouded state. Ancient fallen tree trunks and the creek that flowed in the greenleaf, now frozen with the leaf bare snow. The ancient border between the shadows and the sky.

He turned, his strides followed the old worn path he himself had once patrolled for many moons. The forest at his side seemed to taunt him. He turned with a glare towards the oak trees that grew. This border was one that had to be protected. Far better than it had been. When his paws reached the Thunderpath, he padded towards the darkest part. Where land dipped down and a space akin to a gaping maw opened before him. Star bright eyes pierced through the shadows that lingered in his pelt as he strode forward a few more paces. Unafraid of the darkness that the tunnel threatened to consume him in.

“Liondawn.” He meowed. His voice echoed in the depths of the tunnel. Head turned deeper towards the shadows as he waited for another starry pelt to join him.

What was the world coming to?

The clans, as they were, were filled with morally-lacking cats who had lost their sense of right and wrong. And Liondawn couldn't stand to watch it. Right, wrong-- she didn't care which they all decided to side with in the end. They both existed for a reason. But it was the mixing up of the two she couldn't abide! All this insistence that the one was the other, or that maybe there were some exceptions or variations between them. What was good was good, what was bad was bad. Rules were meant to be absolute. It was as simple as that. But it seemed that the world was increasingly losing sight of that fact.

These were no longer the clans she had loved, these cats no longer like the ones she had admired and been proud to stand side by side with in life. But she'd help work to fix that until-- well, not until her last breath. She'd already taken that, after all.

Liondawn reached her destination, the color of her long golden fur now broken up by shadowing.

"Hello, Brackenstar," the large she-cat dipped her head in respect.

There was something especially harsh about the shimmer in her yellow eyes tonight.
