A Little Curl (Open)

Applepaw laid in the spot of sun, relaxing. After his training session, he was pretty tired. His siblings, Nightpaw and Poppypaw were out, probably hunting or training. His ginger pelt soaked up the sun and he sighed happily. He had previously ate a fish from the prey pile and he was full, happy, and a little bit tired. He closed his eyes and started to drift off.

Curlkit was running away from the evil monster known as her mother. She wasn’t paying attention and crashed into a brown furred apprentice. “Im sorry.” she said hiding behind the apprentice as she saw her mother look around.

Applepaw got up. “It’s okay. I’m Applepaw.” he smiled, wondering why the kit was running so fast. “Curlkit, right?” he asked, remembering the name of the kit from a previous conversation.

“Yup that’s me.” she mewed at the older apprentice.

Applepaw nodded. “Why were you running so fast?” he asked. She didn’t seem like the type to run just for fun, like him and his brother Nightpaw had. He looked at the little cream-colored kit inquisitively.

Curlkit peaked out and saw her mother go back into the nursery. “I was running away from my mom, she wanted to clean my tail but it hurts when she cleans my tail.” she mewed looking at her brown fluffy tail that was curled up on her side.

Applepaw laughed. “I used to hate it when my mother groomed me.” He looked at her tail. It was very fluffy and pretty. “That’s a nice tail you got though.”. He smiled at her. “So....wanna do something?” He asked with the excitement of a young kit.

Curlkit looked at her confused. “Why would an apprentice play with me?” she asked confused. Most older cats thought she looked weird so stayed away.

Applepaw shrugged. ”I like playing! I’ll play with pretty much everything. Same with my brother Nightpaw.” Looking at her again, he realized why she was called Curlkit. Her ears and tails were curled.

“I know nightpaw!” she mewed happily at Applepaw. She couldn’t believe she Friended her friend’s sister.

Applepaw smiled. “That’s cool!”

“yes, he tried to take me swimming when I was only 2 moons old.” she mewed.

(Aka he tried to kill her lmao without knowing)

Applepaw shook his head. “He’s special.” He laughed. “So what do you wanna do?”

“We could play prey.” she mewed thinking about her favorite game.

(It’s my own game that I made up)

Applepaw looked at her. ”Whats’s that game?” He asked curiously.
