A little bit of Smudge (Open)

Cedarkit saw her friend walk out of the nursery. She got up, and ran towards Smudgekit and Icekit. “Hey! What are you guys doing?” She looked towards Stormpaw. “Hi Stormpaw. My mother says hi.” She flicked her tail, trying to figure out what the other kits were doing.

“We’re going on an adventure!” Icekit enthusiastically said to Cedarkit. “We’re going to explore, and it’s going to be fun, unlike being in the boring camp!” She was bouncing around the cats excited.

Cedarkit’s eyes lit up. “Sounds fun!” She grinned, then looked over at Smudgekit. I wonder how Icekit ever got Smudgekit to agree. “Can I come too?”

“Yeah! It’s going to be the best trip we’ll take while we’re kits!” Icekit looked at Cedarkit and smudgekit grinning with excitement.

"Wait a second, kits, don't you know you're not aloud to leave camp without a warrior?" Stormpaw looked at them with narrowed eyes. While she hated to burst their bubble, the Warrior Code was the Warrior Code. It must be followed.

“Come on Stormpaw!” Smudge mewed. “You can come with us to make sure we don’t get hurt!” He said not knowing why he even was going.

Stormpaw may have agreed, but then she remembered two horrifying things; the gathering and Beartooth's death. StarClan was furious at the minute. And Beartooth had frozen to death. Cedarkit was one of Ferretnose's kits. Harefoot and Beartooth's kits. Ferretnose - and ThunderClan - didn't need more heartbreak. "Absolutely not."

Icekit looks sad at stormpaws answer. “But what else are we supposed to do! It’s boring here!” She was itching to run around outside of camp.

“Yeah! Please?” Cedarkit looked up at Stormpaw, pleading. She looked at Icekit and nodded. “It is boring here!”

Icekit looked at Cedarkit and smiled “I’ll race you to the nursery!”
