A little bit of Smudge (Open)

Smudgekit padded out of the nursery trying to avoid others. Even though he recently made friends this little kit still was shy. Smudge looked around camp trying to find something he could do since being in the nursery wasn’t an option as his mother kicked him out to ‘Have fun and meet others’. He didn’t understand but went with it.

Icekit stalked behind Smudgekit and pounced on him, she was giggling, and started nibbling his ear
“Stop being such a loner!”

Smudge mewed in surprise and started shaking with fear. Once he noticed it was ice he looked at the she-kit. “I am not a loner” he mewed trying to get free.

She jumped off him “You rarely leave unless your mother makes you!” “I try to get out of that nursery as soon as my mothers not looking” Ice looks at him her icy eyes playful and energetic. “Do you want to race!?”

“That isn’t true!” He mewed quietly. “I don’t wanna reaver you always win!” He mewed and sat down on the ground.

Ice sat across from him “You’re so boring!” “We should sneak out of camp and explore! I’m sure our mothers wouldn’t notice, and it’ll be fun!” She bounced around him excited to see what he says

“Are you sure.. there is a lot of deadly things out there...” he said scared as his fur started to rise from the fear.

“Let’s give it a chance! There’s nothing so terrible that’d it’d hurt to fearless kits!” Ice licked his ear to try to comfort him, that’s something her mother did when she was scared during a storm.

He looked at her weird when she said fearless but did calm down with the lick. “O..o.ok i..if you are ss..sure.” He mewed.

Ice trots off towards the outside of the camp, she stops at the entrance to make sure nobody sees her and that Smudge is following. She closes her eyes and breathes in the smell of the air. She loves exploring and going outside of the camp is exciting to her. “Smudge hurry, before someone sees us!”

He padded behind her and quickly stepped one paw outside of camp. I’m going to be in so much trouble He thought to himself as he followed her.

"Hi Smudgekit!" Stormpaw greeted, padding out of the elders den. "Where's Cedarkit?" Then she furrowed her brows, realizing something was wrong. "What are you up to?"

Icekit looks at the apprentice and hides behind smudgepaw, she doesn’t know this cat. So she’s frightened.

Smudgekit smiled at Stormpaw. “Hey Stormpaw, cedar is sleeping. Ice said we should explore.” He said happily without being shy around his friend. “Do you want to join us?” He mewed looking at ice begging with his eyes.

She nodded and stood beside him smiling at stormpaw
