Ferretpaw purred with amusement when he heard how out of breath Petalpaw sounded. The other Clans really weren't suited for running, were they? Still, the ShadowClan apprentice had done a good job of persevering and trying to keep up. He hadn't just completely given up. Ferretpaw was impressed. His pelt felt very hot, though, at the combination of the praise and the comment on the view. The WindClan apprentice still couldn't quite figure out how to react to such comments. They made him feel really strange inside, like he was very nervous and almost about to throw up.
"Ah, oh, yes. You should probably get back. The next time I see you, I hope it's at a Gathering, where we won't be crossing borders to speak." Ferretpaw still felt overly warm, especially when he suggested they meet up at the Gathering. Still, as he waved his tail in farewell and turned to head off along the border, glancing back to make sure the ShadowClan apprentice also left, Ferretpaw couldn't help but hope they would meet again.
