Whispers in the Wind [CLOSED]

Whisperpaw continued to take a beating from the fox. The fear for his life filled his eyes. Strike after strike landed again and again, Whisperpaw was still young and by no means a powerful cat, all he could do is look for an opportunity to run. After taking another blow, Whisperpaw found an opening to wriggle out from under the fox and bolted in the direction he hoped was towards home. Behind him he worried what was going on. Elmskip had told him to run, but would his mentor be alright on his own? All he could do is pray to Starclan that he would be okay.

After a while of running, the adrenaline wore off and Whisperpaw was out of breath, exhausted. He gathered his surroundings and slowly moved towards what he thought was camp.

Elmskip saw Whisperpaw wriggle out of the fox's grasp and streak away, hopefully in the direction of camp. He couldn't fight anymore, his muscled screaming, but it helped a little to know that Whisperpaw had escaped. He gave a final snarl to the ugly beasts and ran in the opposite direction, moving as fast as an injured three-legged cat possibly could. Despite his injuries and soreness, he flew across the ground at what could only be a WindClanner's speed. Maybe the foxes would follow, maybe they wouldn't. He was trying to lead them away from camp as he knew where it was for the most part; he'd gotten a little turned around during the battle.

Usually, WindClan cats were able to outrun predators. Hopefully this time would be the same. Elmskip's breath came in ragged gasps as he ran for his life, looping back around after a while towards the direction of camp when he figured he wasn't being followed anymore.
