Tigerkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cat's old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" he called out from on top of the Jaggedrock, it was time for yet another kit to be apprenticed, which was good, Shadowclan had lost many of its members and to see another kit be apprenticed made him happy.

Tigerkit was practically bouncing inside the nursery. So disruptive was he that the queens forced him to wait outside. Today was the day he would be apprenticed and he knew it. Once he heard the cry, he went to gather with his Clanmates for what he was sure would be one of the greatest moments of his life. Goodbye to his days as Tigerkit!

"Tigerkit step forward," he said, pausing for a few moments to give to kit time to do so before continuing, "You have reached the age of six moons and it's time for you to be apprenticed. Tigerkit, from this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Tigerpaw. Redwing will be your mentor. I know she'll be able to pass down everything she knows to you."

The young tom did so at the behest of the deputy. Excitement tingled in his paws as he did so. Yes! He was finally an apprentice! And he had an excellent mentor as well. Once Redwing was announced to be his mentor, he craned his neck to look for her. Then he waited for her to come up so they could touch noses.
