There were so many cats... but that was okay. There were still fewer than last time, and once they got rid of the weak ones, all would be easier. He was attacked by another cat, who then nudged his chosen victim up to his paws so the fight continued. Unfortunately, he only had time for a passing snarl to the interfering cat before his prey fought back. He grabbed the golden cat by the scruff, shook him around, then dropped him hard in the ground.

Night's plan had worked, and the tom hissed triumphantly as he continued to dig his claws into the large dog's back, paws red with blood. He could feel though, with every twist of the dog's spine, his grip was loosening. No...I must...hang on!

Swanpetal saw the dogs, and more importantly she saw her daughter. If Wasppaw was here, then... Wasppaw was alive? Though she'd failed her as a mother before, she wouldn't fail her now, not when her child's life was on the line. What she had thought to herself in the caves was still true: she would fight to her last breath for her Clan, but more importantly for her family. Charging in, rearing up on her hind legs and slashing her claws everywhere she could reach, she was the embodiment of fury.

Batpaw had fled with the rest of the Clan cats, but the dogs stopped her in her tracks. Looking around to see where she'd be needed most, she spotted Wasppaw fighting one (along with other cats she didn't recognize). Seeing that one of the cats that mattered most to her, that she considered close as family, was alright was enough to spur her into action... Until she saw Mothpaw seemingly unconscious near another, as well as Minkpaw. She charged at the nearest dog to her fallen friends, taking advantage of the chaos.

Emberheart didn't waste any time leaping into action, charging at the first dog she saw. There were kits and queens and apprentices here, and she would fight to protect all of them. Long ago, she had sworn an oath of loyalty, to fight to her last breath for her Clan... But this was different. Whether those around her were from different Clans or no Clan at all, it didn't matter anymore... They were all in this together. Rearing up on her hind legs, she attacked where she could in a desperate attempt to distract her opponent.

Maplekit, rather than hiding, had ran with everyone else, going as fast as her little legs could go. She tripped and tumbled a little bit, but ultimately reached the goal... there was more cats? And they were fighting something big... Like deformed cats? There were six of them... And they were throwing the other cats around like prey! What was going on... A battle. Jaystar had said there was going to be some kind of fighting... Dogs! She then got excited. Maybe, if she helped fight the evil dogs, Tinystar would apprentice her early! And she'd be the coolest kit ever! She made her way into the battle, between distracted cats and approaching one of the dogs. "Beware the wrath of Dogslayer!" She yowled. She had decided that would be her warrior name. After all, she was just a kit, and she was actually helping, unlike some other cats she knew. She drew in her strength, silently praying to Starclan. She didn't need them. It would just be helpful, and even cooler. And with her strongest whack, she slapped that dog right on the side as hard as she could. It made a sort of whap noise. That had to at least sting. "Take that, foxhearted dog!" She shouted. "Mess with the Clans again, I double dog dare you!"

Barleytuft has scarcely gotten two paws correctly beneath him before he saw the canine lunging towards him despite being assailed by two other cats - it had been three only a moment ago, but everything was moving so fast. The WindClan tom couldn't duck or twist out of the massive dark's paw's way as it slammed against his shoulder. He had tried to move, but when the heavy paw collided with him he had no choice of where he went. Barleytuft did his best to keep his feet but lost significant ground, only barely recovering a short distance away. His heart pounded as he realized how many dogs had appeared.

.... and.....

.... cats?

Barleytuft is no longer stunned.

The gray dog continued to buck and twist in the tight clawhold of the shadowy cat. The creature was practically frothing with fury as its fangs snapped and reached in the air, just agonizingly close to grabbing the cat. The dog could tell that the cat couldn't hold on much longer; much of the pain in its shoulders was the throbbing pain of new cuts rather than claws digging in, as before. Writhing and wrenching, the beast went silent with murderous intent as it finally met its mark. One leg of the cat had slipped just far enough, and the gray dog's jaws chomped down. They wrenched their head, ripping the cat from their back despite the shock of pain, and flung the black cat aside gracelessly.

Then, something strange happened. So distracted the dog had been that it had hardly heard the mewling kit come toddling up, and admittedly it had barely recognized the little creature's strike as a.... a strike. For a moment, in the heat of battle, the gray dog was almost amused. This was clearly barely more than a pup, yet it was fierce as all the others. It would be even more enjoyable to shake around.

Dog #5 used Iron Bite on Night, using 20 stamina and dealing 30 damage. Night can no longer fight.

No matter how quickly the cat tried to scramble away, the big dog took larger, surer steps. They lashed one paw at it again, too dazed still to duck, and it tumbled aside again. The cats were fast - just as fast as the first ones the pack had fought - and while the dark gray dog was busy slapping the pale cat away for fun once again, the first long-furred silver cat came dashing through to lash at their belly. The gray dog leapt up, trying to twist out of the way, but too late, for the cat had already fled and left room for the next attack. The dark tortoiseshell cat that had dashed underneath it before made a bold rush at the dog's face, and the canine couldn't help but halt with a startle and then jerk back with pain and fury as it whipped a razor-sharp paw out to lash its nose.

The dog's world sparked with light and pain, and its glistening eyes - watering uncontrollably just as the nose dripped blood onto the stone - focused on the small tortoiseshell like a death sentence. The foolish little thing was already so close--

and yet another attack came in, heralded by a bloodcurdling yowl that made the canine scramble sideways with a start, as a much larger cat launched itself forward with claws churning viciously through the air.

This dog just wouldn't let up on Barleytuft - no matter how viciously Dapplepaw and Wasppaw hit it. She wanted to go check on the warrior, make sure he got back to his feet, but the burning eyes of the dog kept catching her own occasionally. Fear refused to let her turn her back on the beast, and she settled for instead swiping at the ear of the dog with a hiss. It was only after striking that she looked around to realize the multitude of other cats she had never seen before - where had they all come from? They seemed to be helping... What was going on?

Though he was running for his life, Lightkit was sure to stay close to Firflower and his siblings no matter how his paws protested at the pace they set. He reminded himself of what he’d told Sandkit: They had skilled warriors and StarClan on their side. They would be safe. Believing that was harder now that the plan was in motion. It didn’t help that the meeting about said plan had been interrupted by the very creature they were running from...but he had to trust them. Jaystar, Tinystar, the other cats Jaystar had assigned to go with them.

Out of nowhere appeared a cluster of creatures. After a moment and some stumbling as he tried to process what he was seeing, Lightkit realized they were cats, already fighting something—a big, loud, angry something. Sharptooth! But, as he raced onward, he realized his mistake. Jaystar had only mentioned one Sharptooth. Here, there were six. The Sharptooth wasn't here. He couldn't be sure if that was better or worse. Nor did he have time to think about it. At that moment, a very familiar voice rose over the howls and snarls of the not-Sharptooths; if Lightkit hadn't recognized that, the words themselves surely would have told him who it belonged to. "Maplekit?" Half-turning, he tried to find his sister. She wasn't near Firflower. First the cave, now this... Taking a deep breath in an effort to make himself heard, he cried, "Maplekit!" in the general direction of her voice. Wherever she was, he couldn't see, he didn't know—what did she think she was doing?

Strom growled as blood bubbled up from the dog's wounds, his claws gouging into whatever flesh they could reach. His fear threatened to raise its head if he dared to stop, and so he didn't let go even as it recovered. Through the fog of panicked rage, he could feel it regain its balance, the muscles he was digging into rippling beneath him. Desperately, he gripped harder with his claws, but it was no use. With a snarl that sent a chill through his spine, it flung him off.

The breath came out of him in an oof as he hit the ground, and he scrambled desperately to escape as its paw came down on him. The sudden flash of pain as its paw connected with his head sent him reeling. Sparks exploded in his vision, a white flash bursting somewhere before darkness rose up like a wave. His mind felt foggy, sounds that shouldn't have existed ringing in his ears as they mixed with the noise of battle. Agony throbbed across his forehead and ear, and he could faintly feel something warm and wet dribbling dangerously near one of his eyes. He blinked, taking in a hissing breath as his senses began to intensify, the pain spiking along with them.

That was when he noticed the dog above him, its muzzle practically in his face, all of its teeth exposed as it snarled. He froze with fear, a pulsing cold locking his spine in place as he just stared at his death about to come, another frothing muzzle from his memory flashing in its place.

Then something smashed into it, driving the monster off balance and distracting it. To his dazed mind, the red fox diving towards him was thrown into the snow, and he watched helplessly as it buried its fangs into Sharptooth's back as she buried hers into its throat. He blinked, and the dog was there again, a smaller cat latched onto it. "Sh-Sharptooth?"

His head throbbed as he managed to croak out the word, and for a moment he feared he was about to pass out for good. It seemed like there were more cats than there had been, but that couldn't be right....

One thing was for certain: he wouldn't be doing any more fighting in this battle.

Ferretpaw, hissing and screaming like no other, came tumbling down the mountain in a furious rage. She hurled her stocky frame at the hideous beast and clawing as if her life depended on it. Though, it wasn't her life... it was the life of the tiny SkyClan kitten that now stood behind her. She whipped around and gentle shoved the kit, sending her tumbling away from the dog, into safety. "Go find your mother, quickly! Get away from this place!" Growling, she faced the beast herself. The nasty thing towered over her, but she held her ground like an immovable stone.

As the fur and claws bad touch the sky, Aspenpaw desperately tried to think clearly. In the heat of the battle, there was one pelt he saw clearly. Barleytuft?! With a new vigor, realizing that a clanmate was alive, that WindClan was soon to be reunited, Aspenpaw hardened his gaze. With all his might, he leapt onto the dog from behind, hurling his entire weight into it. No cat would die on his paws today!

Hailpaw felt alive, more alive than she had been in a while. Adrenaline screamed as it rushed through her veins; blood roared in her ears. The screeching and growling of battle to the death filled her entire world. Her large paws pounded down the mountain side, the jolt each time they made contact with the ground seeming to resonate within her. A sharp hiss tore from her throat, and she flung herself forward at the nearest dog. Her unsheathed claws caught in the stinking, matted fur. Clinging on to the side of the great beast, she lashed out with her free paws. Following the tearing of fur, she felt her claws tearing through exposed flesh. In the next moment, blood was staining her formerly white paws. "What do we have here?" She spat breathlessly, "An overgrown lump of dead weight?"

Hailpaw was willing to do whatever she needed to take her mind of Blizzardshine right now. What better way than through battle? She had almost forgotten the thrill of fighting with her life on the line.

The moment of mercy was short-lived, of course, but fortunately for the kit, something else had drawn its attention from the bold scrap of fur. In its moment of near-weakness, it had heard the thundering of paws coming down the mountainside. The gray beast turned its head just in time to see a mostly white and brown-spotted cat closing in, a battle screech tearing from its throat. The dog braced itself with a snarl, its muscles tensing as the feline made contact with flailing claws. Before the dog could whip its head to bite the first attacker, who had backed away and begun to turn urgently towards the kit, a second cat which had come tearing down the mountain collided with their side.

The gray dog staggered and felt one of its ribs crack with the force of impact. It let out a yelp as the cat clung on, white claws pulling out tufts of gray fur and ripping at the skin. The cat snarled with fury, but the dog knew all it needed was one good shot. Fortunately, the cat was fighting like an idiot and left herself wide open for the dog to lunged forward, jaws clamping around the white she-cat's rib cage with crushing force before tossing her aside.
