Peatkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Rays of sunlight filtered through the dormant branches above ThunderClan's camp. The hard frozen bark glistening as it slowly began to thaw as a newleaf breeze whispered through the camp with the promise of warmer times to come. As a dark brown tom padded out of the medicine den, he couldn't help but reflect on how he wished it would arrive just a bit quicker. His mate was still injured and ailing, but at least the clan seemed healthy. Particularly from all the bad rain that had fallen recently. He glanced towards the sky, amber eyes narrowed against the bright light as dark clouds seemed to gather above them. There wasn't much time... but there was enough to bring a bit o light to the camp. He smiled as he passed the nursery entrance, were he spotted a couple wayward kits close to it.

He flicked the white tip of his tail just inside the entrance as he passed. A playful smile on his muzzle as he padded along, keeping it low to the ground as a form of entertainment for any kit that followed. With so much rain, the poor kits had been cooped up and were probably getting unbearably restless. For at least one of them, this was about to end as he leapt up onto High-rock with the smile still on his muzzle.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath High-rock for a clan meeting!" He yowled, not keeping the cheer from his tone at all as he curled his tail around his forepaws as he waited for the cats to gather.
