Looking for a Rematch [c]

The day was dull. The only colors in view were hues of brown and grey that all looked the exact same. Walking across the endless bogs and marshes of Shadowclan was a lithe, black, she-cat. Her eyes blazed a dark blue, and she walked with purpose. She started walking a bit slower as she started to near a place she'd been not long ago, there was still scents from when she was there.

Hex was making her way back to shadowclan territory, looking for a rematch. About a half moon ago the black rogue had come to shadowclan looking for a fight. Her memory had flashed back to when she'd fought that warrior. The humiliation! She growled just thinking about it. She'd lost a fight and her food for the day! She didn't even catch it on Shadowclan land! Making her way though the marshes of Shadowclan, she neared the spot she'd fought the cat before. Going for a different approach, she climbed up a tree, hiding herself among the leaves. Instead of finding that no-good warrior she fought, she found herself watching an apprentice. She decided that if the cat didn't notice her first she was going to attack. Then after this apprentice she would see if she could find that good for nothing warrior.

Mothpaw wasn't the most observant, and so the realization that she was being watched eluded her. She was simply exploring the territory, wanting to try and catch prey for her Clan. Though she wouldn't admit it, her travels through Twolegplace with the other captured cats were still fresh in her mind, and they were more than enough excitement to last even her for a while. It was a rare day in which Mothpaw wasn't seeking out danger or trouble, and simply searching for frogs. Even if she couldn't always manage to catch them, they were still fun to watch.

Hex watched in surprise as the cat passed underneath of the tree, completely oblivious to her presence. 'mouse-brain', she thought, rolling her eyes. Silent as the night, she crept along the branch, making her way to the end. The apprentice was walking farther away. 'lets see how much of a fight this cat and put up' She wondered, twitching her ear. She leaped down from the branch, landing delicately on the ground a few fox-lengths away from the cat. She sped up, charging into Mothpaw pushing her into the ground. It took a good bit of effort: This cat was about the size of a full-grown cat. But Hex managed.

Mothpaw was knocked off-balance and into the marsh despite her size, caught off-guard by an unexpected attacker. "An intruder?" That wasn't something she'd come across before. They were supposed to fight, right? She'd rather make friends, but the cat who had attacked her didn't seem like they'd be very interested in that idea. "Okay..." She'd defend her Clan, like she was supposed to. She swiped frantically at her opponent, untrained and uncertain but with determination.

Hex reared back when the apprentice turned around and lashed out at her. Hez saw blood starting to ooze from her wounds. Growling, she faced the large cat and smashed her paw across her head, sheathing her claws this time.

Mothpaw looked to her opponent, trying to defend herself with the last of her strength. Each blow the intruder dealt took a lot out of her, and she didn't seem bothered by any of Mothpaw's attempts to fight back. Still, she wouldn't give up until she had to.
