Flamekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Springing atop the Willow Branch, Scorchclaw steadied his stance with strong claws. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Willow Branch for a clan meeting!" He called, in an authoritative tone. His green eyes flashed as they surveyed the wide clearing.

Today was Flamekit's biggest moment of her short life. Her excitement was obvious, as she had been bouncing around the nursery pretty much all morning, much to her mother's dismay.

Her mother didn't say much to her prior to the ceremony, simply giving her a thorough grooming, the typical advise to not act foolish or disruptive, and proceeded to lead her out of the den when they heard Scorchclaw's voice.

Flamekit sat down wordlessly in clearing, waiting impatiently for the ceremony to begin. She said nothing, knowing her mom would kill her if she did, but allowed her paws to fidget.
