Pantherclaw woke early that morning. She had yet another apprentice to train and was confident she could train the young cat. Poking her head into the apprentices den she saw her daughters light pelt in the darkness and then seen her apprentice"Cedarpaw wake up training"She mewed before paddijg from the den and to the entrance and sat down waiting.

The apprentice woke with a start. His heart was thumping against his chest, he must have been dreaming that he was chasing a prey animal. The dark red tom licked his fur into place and exited the apprentices' den. He joined his mentor at the entrance just as she informed him to do the night before. Cedarpaw was ready for the new adventures that were associated with the 'paw' at the end of his name. "What's first, boss?"
