Daisykit's apprentice ceremony

The soft loamy skies loomed over head. Marshstorm sat patiently on high-rock as he observed the clan below. The hunting party he had sent out a small bit ago should be returning soon. His tail flicked in contemplation as he pondered over how much they might bring. With snow, fresh and falling to the ground every night, he didn't hold too high of odds. He hoped there would at least be enough for the entire clan. So far, their luck had been holding out.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath High-rock for a clan meeting!" He yowled, announcing his presence clearly. Some cats who had been watching him huddled closer, but he waited for the pale ginger tomkit, young Daisykit to step forward. A small smile on his maw to welcome the young tom and ease any worries while he waited for the rest of the clan to gather.

Daisykit heard very well known yowl from the top of the Highrock; obviously, it was Marshstorm, ThunderClan deputy. Tiny pale ginger tom did not hesitate because he was already told some days ago that his ceremony was near. Trying to walk as a true warrior not just a fluffy and soft kit, he padded forward, he felt warm looks from his clanmates and he was immediately encouraged. "I'm ready!" he kept murmuring to himself and finally reached final point, the place below Highrock. Marshstorm had kind look on his face and Daisykit smiled because there wasn't any cat with a dull face this sunhigh. He stopped and flickered his short and tiny pale ginger tail and suddenly remembered that lifting tail would be much more acceptable. He hissed at himself once again to calm down: "I am more than ready!"

Marshstorm chuckled at the kit's clear excitement. His amusement unhidden from his features, though he tried to make them into a more neutral expression, he knew he was somewhat failing. It was hard to, he enjoyed seeing kits so excited and happy about their ceremony. He noted in amusement that there was no need to even call the kit forward. Perhaps he should have said a stern word of patience... but joy was so little in Leaf bare sometimes.

"Yes, Daisykit. I can see that." He meowed as he forced his voice to a calm neutral tone. "Let's not hold you back too long, hm?" He added a bit more playfully as the rest of the clan finished gathering together. "Daisykit, you have reached the age of six moons. It is now time for you to become an apprentice. " He paused briefly, as if expecting a minor interruption before he continued. "From this day on, until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Daisypaw."

His amber gaze turned from the excited kit to a white and tabby she-cat. One who seemed like a decent match for the young apprentice's boundless energy.
"Your mentor will be Cloverleaf." He added with a final glance down at Daisypaw. "May she help you shape your enthusiasm into the courage and strength of a fine warrior." He concluded before he leapt down from high-rock to conclude the ceremony.

Cloverleaf grinned and strode over to her new apprentice. She then bent down and touched her nose to Daisypaw's. "You're a real active one aren't ya sport? Training starts early tomorrow so get some sleep. I'll make sure our training will tire ya out." The last remark was made in a playful manner. The warrior then began to walk away.

Daisypaw nodded to his mentor full of excitement, he was wondering if he would be calm enough to sleep through this night. He was also pretty sure that it would be a long night of waiting for the start. Tom was very satisfied with his new mentor because he had already heard some things about Cloverleaf and they were all good.
