Frozenkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Swiftstep leaped up onto the Tallrock with a proud twinkle in his amber eyes. A kit was going to be apprenticed today! She'll begin her journey to becoming a warrior. The brown tom's face morphed to a serious one before he began the ceremony. In fact, this was one of many he did in a span of one moon. Despite that, he couldn't completely vanish his excitement. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather underneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!" Swiftstep called with an authoritative tone.

Frozenkit trotted dreamily to the clearing beneath the Tallrock, tail waving high in the air as she padded along. Her dark gray fur was ruffled and matted in places and bits of dust and grass stuck to it. She'd slipped her mother's attention and been rolling around on the ground, waving her paws fruitlessly at some heather that had dangled tantalizingly close to her as she batted for it. Was she too old to partake in this kit-like behavior on the eve of her apprenticeship? Probably, but Frozenkit was not only unaware but careless of her older clanmates' opinions on her actions. She looked up at Swiftstep, green eyes shining in the daylight, and smiled a wide grin at the deputy. She knew exactly what this was for, and was quite prepared to start her next adventure.

The deputy gazed down at the gray she-kit before continuing, "We all gather here today to make one of our kits an apprentice. Frozenkit, please step forward." Once the young female did, the deputy nodded approvingly with a smile and then began to speak again, "Frozenkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Frozenpaw. Graybriar will be your mentor. Very recently, she received a new apprentice but i'm certain she can handle training another at the same time. I know she will pass down everything she knows on to you."
