Entire body pulsing with a crackling inferno, Aspenpaw staggered sightlessly onward, her steps faltering. As the apprentice reeled through the unrestrained undergrowth, the moments of her crashing into shrubs and undisciplined foliage were innumerable. Every single muscle was excruciatingly strained. How much further until camp? Had she even progressed further than a few fox-lengths?
This was all so stupid! Why had that irrational tom done this to her? In the enigmatic haze that obscured all of her senses, Aspenpaw had failed to recall that she was the one who had initiated the conflict with the ShadowClan apprentice. In her mind, she was the only cat that generated judicious opinions. Everyone else's brains were too narrow and puny. She was potent, formidable and dominant over all.
Except for this time. This time, she needed help.
Now.

Falconpaw hopped along with the patrol, her usual happy grin back on her face. She knew her Moonstone journey would come soon, then she might meet Beepaw again! She smiled at Hazelpaw. "Race you!" She called, with no real destination in mind. She ran, light body skimming over the grass and leaves. She was thin for a ThunderClanner, although not as thin as a WindClan cat. Suddenly a gray form grew closer and closer, and she nearly avoided running into the cat. It was someone she recognized easily. "Aspenpaw? What in StarClan happened?" She didn't particularly like Aspenpaw, but she was a Clanmate nonetheless, and an injured Clanmate. "Hazelpaw! Leafstorm! Come quick!" She yowled.

Violetfall trotted along behind two eager apprentices. As Falconpaw took off running, she shook her head smiling. The young she-cat's enthusiasm brought back fond memories of her apprentice days. As she picked up her pace to catch up with Falconpaw and Hazelpaw, she made sure to continue carefully scanning ThunderClan territory, making sure that all was as it should be.

Her ears perked as she heard Falconpaw calling her name. "Falconpaw?" she cried. "Is everything all right?" She sprinted in the apprentice's direction, coming to a stop by Aspenpaw's side. "Aspenpaw," she gasped for breath. "What happened? Are you alright?"
