Lightning Striking the Water {Closed}

The foul stench of RiverClan hit Hailpaw like a wall as she stepped onto their side of the river. Wrinkling her nose, the fluffy apprentice swept her gaze across the quiet shore. It seemed that a patrol had remarked the borders just a short while ago. Now, however, they were nowhere to be seen. The number of times she had willingly trespassed into RiverClan territory seemed to be quite high now. If Leafstorm or Blizzardshine found out about these little "excursions" of hers, she would be in for quite the thrashing. She was well-aware of the fact that she was breaking the code, but she couldn't care any less. The only time that she ever felt truly alive was in a fight. With adrenaline roaring in her veins, her every sense heightened, and the thrill that came from tearing through flesh--that was what she lived for. If she simply stayed within ThunderClan's borders and waited patiently, she would never get enough of that sensation.

The temptation to wander further into the wetlands was alluring, but she resisted it. If she would only wait, some cat would show up before long. Hailpaw sat down, her long tail flicking against the gravel. A small, dark smile crossed her maw.
