Quick patrol (closed)

Sitting by the camp entrance, Mudfoot listened to the almost completely silent evening air. A warm breeze ruffled the tom's sleek, rusty coat and he watched as it ruffled the slowly crisping leaves up in the trees as he waited for some-cat to join him to go on a patrol.

Fallowpaw bounded up to Mudfoot, shaking moss from her nest out of her long, calico pelt. "Mudfoot, could you take me out? I need to go on a hunting patrol this afternoon, but I can't find Asterleaf anywhere," she complained, voice dripping with contempt. She wasn't thrilled to ask anyone to take her hunting, but she really needed to get more practice if she was going to pass her assessment.

Hearing approaching pawsteps, Mudfoot turned to see Fallowpaw and listened to what the apprentice had to say. "Sure. I was just about to leave actually, so let's head out," the large tom mewed, a smile on his muzzle.

Trotting at a decently brisk pace, the pair made their way to their first destination, the Thunderpath. Just as they arrived, a monster roared by, sending a shiver up his spine. He remembered long ago when he watched a WindClan cat get hit by one, and it was definitely something he wished to never see again. Turning to the she-cat, Mudfoot gave his fluffy russet colored pelt a shake, his nose wrinkling from the potent scent. "I'm assuming you know what this is?" he asked Fallowpaw, unsure of how much Asterleaf had previously taught her.
