Evening Hunt (Closed)

It was a cool, dark evening as Brushpaw and Blazeflight made their way through the marshes. Though prey was around every second of the day, sunset was when the largest amount of animals came out to get food- including ShadowClan cats. The more distracted squirrels and mice were, the easier they would be to catch. Not to mention the plentiful frogs, lizards, and small birds that were out during this time as well. Occasionally, one could even get a bat. Reveling in the quiet moonlight, the mottled she-cat slid through her Clan's territory, pale-green eyes surveying the land in front of her. When she saw a quick motion in a bush to the side, she immediately stopped, already-silent pawsteps halting suddenly. She looked to Blazeflight, the warrior who had accompanied her, and waited. It was polite to let the she-cat get the first catch, even if she was the child of an exiled cat and the blithering mouse-brain they both called their leader. She made it her business to know the origins of almost every cat in her Clan- how else was she supposed to judge them? Despite her heritage, however, Blazeflight was a senior warrior, and being on her good side for the moment seemed prudent.
