| Lightkit woke suddenly as a beam of light shifted onto his face; his pale amber eyes shot open and he lifted his head quickly. His dream faded from him, as did the scent of his mother, Sunfish, who he'd been dreaming of. The truth was that he scarcely remembered her. Sunfish had died during kitting, leaving Lightkit and his brother, Aspenkit, without a mother. There were queens to care for the two of them, and though Lightkit never truly knew her he found himself missing her presence.
The young white tom rolled over to see Birdkit, one of his denmates, sitting in her nest. "Hey, Birdkit," he mewed in a high-pitched voice, "do you want to play?" He stood quickly, his white tail sticking out straight behind him as he pranced towards the she-cat, hooking a ball of moss up with his claws to toss towards her. "We could be Warriors chasing out a fox!" ______________________________________  Clovertwist the Loner

| Aspenkit felt his brother stir, and in turn began to wake up. He quietly opened his eyes, blinking the sleep away from them. His mind was a bit fuzzy as he had just woken up so he took some time to adjust. He could see his brother was already up and talking to another kit. Aspenkit was a nice kit and all but he wasn't as good about talking to others. He let out a large yawn and shook his pelt. It was beginning to grow quite long, just like his fathers.
He decided to pad over to where his brother was talking to a den mate of theirs. Birdkit. He hadn't really ever talked to Birdkit. It seemed Lightkit was asking Birdkit if they wanted to play. "Hi Birdkit, Lightkit. What are you guys talking about?" He may as well talk to them he had nothing better to do. ______________________________________ |

| Lightkit's eyes began to beam with delight as his brother, Aspenkit, stirred beside him. Lightkit's brother was a little less outgoing than he was, but he didn't mind. He was always glad to start conversations and get to know his Clanmates on his own. Still, Lightkit liked his brother.
Lightkit didn't have time to answer Aspenkit's question before an Apprentice squeezed their way in. Lightkit recognized Flamepaw, an Apprentice who had changed the most for them before. When the she-cat offered to be the fox for them, and Birdkit agreed, Lightkit felt his fur bristle with excitement.
"Do you mean it?" he squeaked cheerfully, pawing at the ground. ______________________________________ Clovertwist the Loner

| Aspenkit's eyes lit up with excitement. He did enjoy chasing things. "I'll help chase the fox!" He felt his fur bristle with excitement as he quickly thought of a plan. Perhaps Lightkit could go for the head and I could go for the tail and Birdkit could go for the legs? No too much risk for Lightkit! He wanted to even out the risk for everyone so then they would bring it down together.
While he was thinking, he wondered if his father had ever chased out a fox. Maybe. Though at least it would be hard for a fox to get into camp. They were basically surrounded by water. ______________________________________ |

| Aspenkit quickly looked up at the apprentice. Unfortunately he had not had enough time to ponder his plan. The game was to begin! The fluffy kit quickly pounced on the apprentice's tail, of course claws sheathed. He didnt really want to hurt the "fox". He just wanted to chase it away. There was little glory in killing especially when it's not a real fox! ______________________________________ |

| Lightkit beamed, the snowy white fur along his shoulders bristling with excitement as the Apprentice assented to their game. Almost immediately the fiery tabby she-cat began to "attack" like a hungry fox, with Lightkit's own brother as the first target. He cried in his high-pitched voice, "Leave my brother alone!" Then with surprising authority, he wailed, "RiverClan, to me!" Without hesitating, the little tom took a leap for one of Flamepaw's front legs, taking playful nips while his brother pawed at her tail. ______________________________________ Clovertwist the Loner
