The Newt & The Mist [[Closed For Kent]]

Mistywater had just been in the middle of a peaceful talk with Newttounge and hunting a squirrel when she had heard the screech of what sounded like an eagle. Although she hadn't know about Newttounge's relationship with birds, she only knew that he seemed scared like any other cat. But she wasn't in his mind, so she couldn't determine what he was thinking. All she could do was sense the way he was feeling, which seemed pretty bad.

The senior warrior flung around, hissing at the sudden pain of a bird that had just bad touch Mistywater's shoulder. The she then unsheathed her claws, the pain on her shoulder throbbing bitterly as she had obtained a lacerated cut.

With sharp claws, Mistywater began to rail up on her hind legs, waiting over and over again for the eagle to attack. Finally, she had gotten close enough to the bird to cut off some feathers and maybe skin. Mistywater balanced upwards, and with unsheathed claws she began to jump down onto the attacker, claws like razors as she could feel the tugging of the other animals skin. She cringed at the thought but needed to fend off this new challenger, for she wanted to protect Newttounge with all she had.

Mistywater used 'Upright Front Paws', dealing -16 damage and costing -20 stamina!

Newttongue hissed and slashed his claws across the feathered creature's face after springing off of a tree trunk. He felt his claws catch flesh and could feel the creature react to the blow under his claws. His pupils dilated as adrenaline fueled his movement. He cast a worried look at the blood staining Mistywater's pelt and in that moment of distraction, he was thrown off by the winged creature and landed with a thud on the ground as the bird thrashed around to get airborne again.

Newttongue used Tree Spring. -11 HP, -10 SP.

The eagle scrambled into the air, wavering in flight and slashed it's talons desperately at Mistywater, feathers littering the ground.

Eagle used Talon Strike. -10 HP, -10 SP.

Mistywater hissed at the eagle, moving her claws towards the face of the bird once she had successfully attacked it. She sunk her teeth into the birds neck, feeling it body try and pull away, but failing miserably. Suddenly, all of the strength left, leaving the she-cat with a lifeless eagle body being held by her mouth. She let go, trying her best to get the blood off of her fur and running over to Newttounge. "Are you alright?" she asked urgently, hoping to help the tom if he needed it.

Mistywater used 'Killing Bite' on the eagle, dealing -33 damage and costing -10 stamina.
