To Defend a Home (Closed)

Nightstorm emerged from the underbrush, his leathery black nose high in the air, jaws parted slightly to draw in more scent.  As he had been walking through the territory, the older tom had caught the scent of an unknown cat.  It didn't carry the scent of any clan he knew, just of the forest and maybe a hint of Twolegplace.  He had followed the traces of scent until he had emerged here, at Highpine, and stalked carefully out towards the border tree.  He was silent for a moment, before calling out; "I know you're there, stranger, show yourself!"

Boar decided to eat a nice, juicy bird that he snuck up on.  Soon, he smelled something.  A clan cat, he thought.  His blood started boiling.  The cat called out, allowing Boar to find it easily.  He swallowed his meal and pounced in the direction that the mysterious cat yowled from.  His aim was accurate enough to pin the black cat.  "Take this, you worthless piece of scum!" he yowled.

Boar used Leap-And-Hold on Nightstorm, dealing 9 damage and costing 10 stamina.  Nightstorm is pinned for 1 turn.

With a shocked yowl, Nightstorm felt a heavy weight land firmly onto his back, and try as he might to stay on his paws the other cat's weight was greater.  His legs crumpled, and a furious growl rumbled from the jet-black tom's throat.  "Any cat who does not take a merciful invitation is simply foolish, rogue."  His voice was calm; Nightstorm had managed to grip the ground with his paws.  "Leave SkyClan territory now, or I won't be the only enemy you'll have to deal with."

Nightstorm is no longer stunned

Boar snarled.  "And hedgehogs fly!" he growled. "I'll kill your entire clan if I have to!" Rearing up on his hind legs, he slashed at the black cat with his claws. He saw a trickle of blood coming out of Nightstorm's back, and the brown tabby smiled insanely.

Boar used Rear-up to Slash on Nightstorm, dealing 11 damage and costing 15 stamina.

Nightstorm yowled, his cry a mix of pain and fury, but he quickly came to his senses.  Slipping out from underneath the rogue with slippery skill, doing his best to ignore the way his back stung, he spat back at the outsider, all pretenses of mercy gone.  "Then I will do what I must!"  In the blink of an eye, the sleek jet-black tom sprang through the air and landed on the bulky tom's back, pulling him down and raking his claws deeply into his back.

Boar didn’t hear the black cat as Boar struggled to get out. His bulky size helped him break free of the attack, and he was ready to strike.
