A Meeting of Patrols

Mitéra walked down the forest with Patéras. She sat down for a second to groom herself, and when she looked around Patéras was gone. "Patéras! Where did you go off to now?! Get back here this instant!" He must have heard her calls, because he was back carrying a squirrel the next minute. "Show off." She muttered under her breath. "Let's get going before those blasted clan cats find us." She said, her voice raised this time.

Patéras walked with Mitéra back towards Twolegplace. He happily carried the squirrel by the tail. Once he got back he would be able to convince Loaf that he was indeed Torrent. Then he stopped dead in his tracks, and Mitéra stopped next to him. "What is it?" She asked him. "Cat scent. Skyclan. Two cats, an younger one and an older one. C'mon, we need to get going!" He replied. Mitéra, however was not having this. "Oh come on!" She said. "It'll be a fun fight!" She finished. "Fine, if we must." Groaned Patéras. They both turned around to face the direction of the scent.

"If your fighting skills are as weak and underdeveloped as your hunting skills, I doubt this'll be a fun fight for you." The smooth drawl interrupted any further discussion between Mitéra and Patéras, the sharp mocking edge of his voice bleeding into one of vehemence. Oh how Elmcloud loathed pretty much every cat in existence at this point in time. Couldn't he go one single patrol without running into some cat that pricked his fur the wrong way? Without waiting to see if his Clanmate was following suit, he slipped out from within the hiding spot he had previously been residing in, stepping into view of the pair of rogues. "So why don't you go ahead and leave now? I'd hate to have to tear up those unsightly faces of yours just to get a point across."

Mitéra growled and lunged herself at the warrior. "Unsightly faces?! You better prepare to get some unsightly scars!" She stood on her hind legs and drew her claws down this... Inferior wild cat's face.

Patéras glanced in amusement at the young Skyclan apprentice. So fierce for such a young cat. He thought. "I hope you don't think I'll go easy on you for being young and weak. You should keep that confidence of yours in check. Big egos cause problems." He sat down and licked his paw for a moment. Then (Unexpectedly) shot straight underneath Mosspaw's chest and clawed their belly.

"Go choke on the crowfood you seem to adore bathing in!" Driving his shoulder deep into Mitéra's belly, Elmcloud blinked away the filmy blots of blood that crowded his vision as he knocked the rogue she-cat back down into the dirt. Without wasting a heartbeat, he was suddenly atop the white-furred Rogue and rolling her back onto her belly with a vicious kick. Using his entire weight to keep Mitéra face-first in the dirt, Elmcloud's hindlegs made quick work of shredding through the fur atop her spine in powerful shredding motions.

Mosspaw screeched in pain as the rogue sliced at her delicate underbelly.The battle had just begun and she was already losing blood. Still, the only thing she could focus on was making this rogue pay. With a cry of fury, she bit hard on their tail and roughly pulled hard, not even grimacing as the blood oozed into her mouth.

Mosspaw used Tail Yank, dealing 2 damage and costing 10 stamina. Pateras is stunned for one turn.

Mitéra grunted in pain as the more powerful warrior pinned her down. Then she shared a glance with Patéras. They both knew exactly how to defeat these clan cats.

Kicking up a storm of shredded and bloodied fur, Elmcloud continued to hold the writhing Mitéra tightly within his grasp. Claws embedded themselves so deeply into the rogue's flesh that they ached profusely, he jolted the she-cat's face further into the dry dirt below the pair painfully, hoping to knock her chin against an unseen rock or two.

While he was knocked off balance, Mosspaw took the liberty to scramble up the nearest tree. Before Pateras had the chance to recover, the Skyclan apprentice leaped down from the tree and landed on his back, clawing at his shoulders furiously. Though she didn't have much in her, there was no way this rogue could take away her fighting spirit. She would bite and scratch until the very end if it meant defending her clan.

Patéras was not enjoying the fight. He had been tired from hunting, couldn't he get a wink of rest? And yet cats still kept dropping from the sky on him! He sighed. He was started to get really annoyed and wasn't in the mood for toying anymore. He sliced his claws across the younger cat's face, digging them in as deep as he could to cause the maximum pain possible. I hate young cats. So cocky. he thought.
