3 Apprentices and a Warrior Walk Into the Woods[CLOSED]

Blossomheart had gathered the three apprentices. "Alright, Lionpaw, Mistypaw, Crowpaw. We're going on a hunting patrol." She said. "Follow me."

As they left camp, Crowpaw slid up next to Lionpaw with a purr. "You've got a good hunter's build. I'd bet you'll catch the most prey out of all of us... Lionpaw." She made sure to lightly rub up against the tom, just subtly. And that only Lionpaw could hear her.

Lionpaw followed Blossomheart and the others when Crowpaw had come up beside him. He looked at her and said "Really? I think i'm better at fighting. T-Thanks I guess." he looked away, wanting to escape the awkward conversation. Awkward for him, atleast.

Mistypaw bounced after Blossomheart, rolling her eyes at Crowpaw and Lionpaw. She could tell that Crowpaw was trying to get Lionpaw's attention, although she couldn't hear what she was saying. She glanced back at her, shaking her head as her sister brushed against Lionpaw. "I'm going to catch more prey than either of you slowpokes," she bragged. "Come on. Hurry up!"

Crowpaw responded with a smile that almost seemed malicious. "If that's true, then I certainly would love to see you fight. I'm sure Thunderclan wouldn't, as you'd crush them like prey." And her eyes darted to Mistypaw. "We'll see about that." She murmured.

Blossomheart gave them a glare. "Let's get to hunting, please."

"Of course."

The fluffy she-cat crouched, pinpointing a squirrel and catching it after a great pounce.

Crowpaw brushed her tail on Lionpaw's nose as she walked past, looking back with expecting eyes. "Now we'll show how great we are." She spoke smoothly, and caught a lizard without missing a beat.

Lionpaw sneezed in reply, as Crowpaw's fur tickled his nose. He wandered off a bit, tracking a pigeon. hopefully it works out this time. He thought before climbing up a tree a few branches away from the pigeon. He jumped from branch to branch before lunging after the pigeon.

Mistypaw rolled her eyes again and bounded ahead of the other two apprentices, quickly noting a thrush a few fox-lengths away. "Watch this!" she called, waving her tail confidently. She fell into a hunting crouch, doing her best to stalk the small bird. She killed it with a swift blow and picked it up in her jaws. "See? I'm going to get more than either of you," she repeated, mumbling through her prey. She dropped it back on the ground and kicked it under a bush before continuing to find another piece of prey.

Crowpaw lashed her tail. Out of the corner of her eye, she watched Blossomheart miss a rabbit and she herself ended up catching it. "Sure, Mistypaw. We've all caught prey. Besides, birds are easy. I caught a lizard."

Lionpaw landed gracefully on his paws, with the pigeon in his jaws. He tucked it where Mistypaw had contained hers. He complimented both on their catch before boasting about his. "Lizards may be harder to catch, but birds give off more meat for the clan." He went off a bit more again and dragged a mouse out of a bush.

Mistypaw snorted dismissively at Crowpaw. "Sure, whatever," she huffed. "But like Lionpaw said, birds bring more meat for the Clan." She thought for a second. "And they taste better, too," she added, cocking her head to the side. "Anyways, I see a nice fat squirrel over there which I'm going to go catch!" She darted off in the direction of the squirrel. Catching it with ease, she picked it up and sauntered back over to Crowpaw and Lionpaw. She waved it briefly in Crowpaw's face before stowing it with the rest of her and Lionpaw's prey.
