With pained cry, the eagle turned its beady eyes on Nectarleap, pure rage in its gaze. Flapping it's wings to go higher, it then dove down and wrapped its talons around the warrior, in an attempted to carry him off. But all it did was scrape his flesh in a set of talonmarks.

Eagle used Swoop on Nectarleap, dealing 20 damage and costing 20 stamina.

Nectarleap yowled in pain at the attack, but was at least grateful that he hadn't been carried off into the sky. Growling, the warrior jumped a step back and whipped around. Rising up onto his hind legs, he struck the bird as hard as he could with unsheathed claws, knocking it right out of the air. The eagle was now dead.

Nectaleap used Front Paw Strike on Eagle, dealing 14 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Watching through narrowed eyes as her Clanmates launched themselves into the fray, Brindlewhisker hardly needed to land a second hit before the eagle was dragged to the earth and subsequently killed. Shaking away the feathers and downy bits of fluff that wreathed themselves around her claws, the scarred she-cat turned to face her Clanmates, briefly surveying the potential damage that had been inflicted. "A job well done, if I must say. Although Nectarleap, you might want to get those score marks checked out sooner rather than later." A note of concern edged Brindlewhisker's words as she gazed over at the tom beside her.

Constantly switching gazes from one cat to another, Acornpelt let a content purr escape her mouth. Defeating the eagle took no effort, and she thought everyone would be okay until the large bird scraped its talons against Nectarleap. Eyeing the bird until Nectarleap finished it off, the young she-cat was about to ask Nectarleap if he was okay, but Brindlewhisker cut her off. Mewing in agreement, Acornpelt stood by the deputy with slight anxiety. "I agree with Brindlewhisker. While it is Newleaf, it doesn't mean we should ignore injuries like these." 
Glancing at the others attentively, Acornpelt spoke once more. "We should all catch one more piece of prey, then head back, unless if the majority of us want to head back to camp?"

”I don’t want Nectarleap staying hurt!” Fernpaw meowed loudly. ”My vote is we all go back. Besides, we can always bring the eagle as fresh-kill. The Clan will be able to eat well for days!”

Sweetpaw padded over to her father, looking worriedly at the injuries. "Yeah, let's go back"
