The dogs were getting weak that much was true. They wouldn't be able to take much more, but they wanted to win. They were going to win. They had to win. The big brown dog shook off the cats that had latched onto it before raising it's head and letting out an angry howl that even echoed among the many trees. Nothing seemed to happen. The brown dog lowered it's head and let out another growl ready to attack it's next prey. The large dog noticed how many cats were around it and lashed out wildly hoping to drive them away.

Brown Dog used Thrash on Honeypaw dealing 20 Damage, -20 SP

Brown Dog:

Honeypaw:

The black dog took a couple of steps back almost ready to run from this group of cats but the brown dog's howl seemed to remind it of what they were here for. It wasn't ready to give up yet it could take more hits. It still had time. The black creature turned and growled at the last cat that attacked it. The dog opened up it's jaws and bit down on the cat.

Black Dog used Iron Bite on Russetpelt dealing 30, -20 SP

Black Dog:

Shrikekit was hiding in the medicine den when all of this was going down. The deathly sick kit pray for his clan's victory but also he wanted Starclan to send a dog his way to put him out of his misery. Everything hurt. Everything was so bad for him but it seemed they kept him here for a cruel reason. The black and white tom heard the harsh yowls, the viscous growling. It terrified him. With only a couple of apprentices standing in the way and certain death for the future of the clan. He wished he was like Crowstar or Rippedsky who could brave these foul creatures without a second thought but he was a coward stuck in the medicine den because of how sick he was. A sickness he couldn't shake, and wouldn't shake until his last breathe.

Shrikekit wanted to sneak up closer to the entrance to see what these terrifying creatures looked like exactly when he heard a small growling of a sort of different sort coming from the back of the den. Yellow eyes watched as the barrier between the outside of the camp and then den broke apart revealing another dog. Smaller then the rest. Pure gray and lanky. This dog looked like it wouldn't be able to move in the den but it tore apart the medicine den with little effort as it advanced. Shrikekit backed up against the furthest wall he could terrified of what this creature would do to him. He wanted to die but faced with this- He wanted to live. "H-Help!" He called out weakly. No one would hear him. Everyone was too busy with the dogs. They wouldn't notice. He was going to die! His pushed himself against the wall painfully hoping for it to break under his weight, but that wasn't going to happen he was too weak. He didn't want to die! "P-please! Help me!" His weak voice called again. It seemed like it was too late. Soon what he saw off the gray dog was white teeth, and an open jaw.

Crowstar stood up again on the other side of the brown dog. Standing near the medicine den opposite of most of the cats that were focused on fighting the dogs. All he could hear was their snarling and growling, and then the hisses of his own clan mates. It seemed like they were going to win. While the dogs still stood, he could see every shake of their leg, every drop of blood that left their body from the  repetitive strikes of Skyclan. The leader was about to attack the dog that claimed his life again when he heard a faint call.

The tom turned his attention to the medicine den, looking past his medicine cat apprentice. Peering into the den. His ears perked again when he heard another call, and a flash of gray. Was there another? The black fluffy leader sprung into action racing past the few cats that were in the way, not bothering with the other two creatures. He wouldn't lose a single cat today not even that one. Crowstar's eyes widen as he saw the gray dog going in for the kill but the leader let out a roar equivalent to the former Lionclan. "NO!" He yelled as he jumped in front of the old kit feeling the teeth sink right into his neck as he didn't make in quite in time.

The leader was soon shaken around by the gray dog, before being released hitting and breaking the den wall in the process. The black fluffy leader watched as the dog advanced on the kit again, his vision blurring. No. He wouldn't lose one.. Even if it cost him his life. The leader stood, his pure will driving him even if his body begged him not to. The leader used the last of his strength, launching himself at the dog. The weak leader landed in front of the dog, before jumping up and sinking his teeth right into the dogs next before pulling hard to take as much as he could of the dog before slumping to the ground. The dog falling still next to him.

The leader could no longer move. His eye sight no longer holding any shape as Starclan was coming to claim him for the last time. He could see a black and white figure stepping into his vision words being shouted but none of them could reach. Nothing could reach him now. Starclan wanted him, and it was time to go home. The leader closed his eyes, his heaving chest slowing to a stop. His last breathe escaping him, sounding like a sigh of relief.

When the Shrike calls, a sacrifice must be made.

Mintpaw hissed through her teeth when the dogs arrived, watching with wide eyes as cats were felled left and right. So far, no cat needed immediate attention except... Tinypaw. Quick as a flash, Mintpaw darted out of her den and sprinted to the she-cat's side, grabbing the unconscious apprentice by the scruff and dragging her towards the Medicine Cat den, fueled by adrenaline and fear. She had to get her to a safe place before she treated her. This was life or death- she could only hope that Goldeneye and Nettlesting had taught her well enough to handle anything that might happen.
But first...

She turned to Tinypaw, placing herself between the entrance of the den and the young apprentice. There weren't any herbs she could use to wake the apprentice, but luckily Tinypaw was stirring already.
"Quickly- eat this." Mintpaw nosed a bundle of Ragweed towards the small apprentice. "It will give you strength."
She knew that Tinypaw shouldn't go on fighting, but Mintpaw figured that the warrior apprentice was far too preoccupied to throw herself into the fray, so she turned her attention back to the fight.
"Foxdung."
A mousebrained kit- one of Sedgestrike's, if she wasn't mistaken -had thrown herself at the nearest dog. Without a second thought, Mintpaw leaped back into the battle, dodging hissing cats and snarling dogs alike in her desperation. Using her strong back legs Mintpaw leaped the last few foxlengths, grabbing Sparrowkit by the scruff and rolling away from the dog. "You mousebrained fool!" Mintpaw thundered, her back arched as she wheeled around to face the dog. "Get back in the nursery before you lose your life! When this is all over, I swear to Starclan..." There wasn't time for much more, and Mintpaw quickly placed herself in front of the small kit, hissing and spitting angrily at the dog.

But suddenly...
Moments became hours as Crowstar raced towards the ruins of her beloved Medicine Den, where her the weak and injured were sheltering. She watched in horror as another dog grabbed Crowstar, thrashing him mercilessly back and forth... "No... No...! NO! RIPPEDSKY! ANYONE!" Mintpaw was helpless- bound to protect Sparrowkit even as Crowstar threw himself yet again at the dog. "HELP HIM! CAN'T YOU SEE HIM... no..." And suddenly she was crying, her voice shrill and her throat sore. "C-crowstar... no..." It was too late to save him. She should've been there- She should've saved him.
He had been there for her, supporting her whenever the pressure got to great. He had been with her during the biggest moment of her life, her Medicine Cat Apprentice ceremony.
And there was nothing she could do.
Nothing at all.
It was funny how a half-forgotten moment can be remembered in a cat's most desperate hour. A phrase popped into Mintpaw's mind even as she crouched there, tears streaming down her dust-covered face.

When The Shrike Calls, A Sacrifice Must Be Made.

Whipping his head around, the apprentice saw the little Starlingkit batting away at the huge, black animal, her smallness so enhanced in the face of her enemy. Eyes blazing with a mixture of exasperation and concern, Quietpaw ducked away from the slobbering beast that was angrily chomping at Russetpelt, fixing his maw around the kit's scruff. "What in the name of StarClan do you think you are doing!?" he rasped through her soft fur. He dragged her away into the safety of the apprentices' den, fixing her with a dead serious stare. "Stay. Put." the tomcat ordered, his looming frrame over her seeming larger with his fur on end. Silence settled for a few moments, in which he let his eyes drop and his muscles relax. Tuning out the sounds of battle, the barks and the shrieks, he resisted the urge to faint. Shaking his head, unsteady on his paws, the cat fled the den back into battle. Panting, he launched himself st the black dog, claws outstrechted. Taking the black giant by surprise, the apprentice hammered into his side, knocking the breath out of both of them.

Chaos. It was all pure chaos. The black and white tom could not think straight. Blood pounded in his ears harder than it had before. There was a glimpse of Poplartooth. A quick sigh of relief, only a breath, left his maw. There was no time to consider it for anything longer. He had to act. Mumblefoot longed for it all to be over, for him to wake up from this hellish nightmare. Everyone he knew and loved was in danger. The camp floor was stained with the blood of both their enemies and themselves. Red flashed over his vision. Another attack that would likely leave Russetpelt with serious wounds. He liked the kind tom. Nothing the warrior had ever done warranted the hell they were all experiencing right now. At that moment, in his worried-filled and anxiety-ridden mind, the tailless tom considered for the first time in his life that Starclan had abandoned them. He had spent his whole life an object of ridicule, but this was it.

Shaking away the thought was difficult, increasingly hopeless. Every instinct screamed to turn and run away from everything that happened. Yet, Mumblefoot found himself lashing out once more. There was no satisfaction in tearing through the tough flesh once more. In fact, it left him emptier than ever as he landed back on his four paws to give himself a moment in between strikes. It was then the yowl filled the air. Terror. Absolute terror. His mind seemed to go numb and the world slowed as he turned in the direction of the sound. Blood. So much blood. The horrible scarlet drops poured from a familiar black frame. Instantly, he was a young apprentice again. Mumblefoot froze. His eyes widened and he stared on. Nothing could tear him away. This was happening all over again. Once more, Crowstar stood in front of an innocent clanmate, sacrificing himself for the good of the clan he had proven time and time again to love so much. As he took in the scene, it was almost as if he was the black and white kit behind the leader once more.

He waited. Crowstar would stand again. Despite the body going limp, the life draining out, their strong leader would get up once more. Mumblefoot had seen it once more and he waited, unbreathing, for it to happen again. But, the moment never ended. As the seconds dragged on, an awful numbness seemed to grip his chest. And he found himself whimpering softly as the feeling continued to sweep through his body, "No, no, no, no, no." Claws sheathed as the battle was forgotten. It had happened again. His worst nightmare, more a memory, was in front of his eyes. But, this time, it never finished. He didn't wake up. They truly had been abandoned.

Mumblefoot used rear-up to slash, dealing 11 damage and using 15 stamina.

The black and white tom was fueled on by the mission to protect everything and everyone he loved. Losing the battle was not an option. Losing the fight was not an option. This was reminiscent of the Windclan and Riverclan battle for him. That same feeling drove him on to fight. Less of a fear for his own wellbeing, more for the clan before him. Rippedsky weaved around the dog. There was no reason for him to attempt to confuse it, the mass of cats attacking over and over again already did that. He burst out from under the dog's chest and whirled around to face it. Once far enough away, he leaped and brought down all of his weight on its maw and dug his claws into where its eyes were. Underneath, he could feel strength fading. They only had a bit more to go. A little more to go. The clan would be safe. No one would be dead.

As he was shaken from its head, the tom landed steadily on all four paws. He was prepared to strike once more, ready to finish this. Yet, a chilling cry stopped him. His head whipped around towards the medicine cat's den to see Shrikekit. Immediately, his muscles tensed. The deputy was ready to throw himself across the clearing and in the path of the jaws. Someone got there first. A flash of black fur blurred through his sightline and in the middle of the kit and the dog. His blue eyes widened, much like his son. Rippedsky's chest threatened to explode with panic. Crowstar. But, he had more lives, right? He had no idea. As the frame stilled, as he watched his leader take his last breath, the hope that blossomed in his heart for a split second as quickly as it had come. Rippedsky fell down into the dirt. His legs gave way and his breath caught in his throat. The immortal leader had proven his mortality.

His mentor, his friend, his... father. Rippedsky stared on, unblinking. He was frozen. It wasn't real, it couldn't be real. The tom's maw open, but no sound would come out. Nothing. Two dogs still stood in camp and yet he found himself tied down with grief. This could not be possible. The one cat he had looked up to for almost his whole life, the leader he had willingly chosen to follow and only grew respect for, the one friend who had not died on him now lay in a pool of his own blood. Rippedsky wanted to wail. He wanted to cry out with the pained sounds of the rest of the clan. Nothing came. No sound. No noise. No movement. For a moment, it was almost as if he had died himself. If it weren't for the now dull light in his eyes, the deputy would have appeared to be in the same state as he stiffened. This... this could not be happening. The world was drowned out. He only saw Crowstar. Or, rather, the lifeless frame of Crowstar.

Why.

Rippedsky used upright lock on brown dog, dealing 17 damage and using 25 stamina.

When the brown dog dared to hurt his apprentice, Sedgestrike lashed out with a fierce blow to the dog's head, his paws shoving the beast's head away from her in order to protect her from a potentially lethal blow when his heart plummeted. One of his kits was out here. His green eyes widened in horror until she was safely grabbed by Mintpaw. His heart beat steadily only for a minute, until she yowled.

It's a yowl he would always remember. He turned around to where she was facing, and saw it. A smaller black shape next to a larger grey shape. Blood soaked the snow around them, and his heart fell to his paws. No other cat had a pelt like that. He looked over at Rippedsky, and yowled out to his former mentor.
"Rippedsky! The Medicine Den!" He called, then was shoved by the dog as it moved to defend itself against another blow. The fight wasn't over. He had to keep going, but even he knew that something was deeply wrong.

The world turned upside down as Elmcloud lost his footing upon a particularly slick spatter of blood, the breath being crushed from within his chest at the sudden fall. The light ringing in his ears from the force of impact drowned out the harsh sounds of his battling Clanmates, leaving him with only the sight of the star-flecked sky and eerie silence. Despite the rather late hour of evening, he was still able to catch sight of the barren, nimble branches clawing their way across the sky far above him. It was oddly unnerving. Exhaling a nervous, shaky breath, the young tom began to writhe and scramble about in the leaf-litter that surrounded him in attempt to find his footing once more. Only narrowly avoiding nearly getting trampled by both the dog and his Clanmates, Elmcloud managed to scramble away to the side with a slight wince, an ache in ribs slowing his normally graceful movements. Stiff neck aching in protest, he awkwardly swung his head around in a futile attempt to survey the damage being inflicted upon the camp.

Instead of being greeted with the sight of trampled den or injured cats, Elmcloud was only able to bear witness to Crowstar’s final gut-wrenching moments outside of the Medicine Cat’s den. If he screamed at the sight, it simply did not register within his reeling mind. No. No. Not again. Gaze widening at the grisly scene, his sense of hearing suddenly returned in a disorienting flood, ringing and echoing much too sharply within his ears. Despite the overwhelming rush of his hyperactive senses, the battle before him was forgotten. His body seemed to move out of instinct- scrambling to his paws and staggering towards the ominously still form of Crowstar, only just barely managing to make the short journey without tripping over his abnormally clumsy paws. The childish hope that he would watch the dark-furred Leader spring back up to his paws seemed to be the only thing that was keeping Elmcloud’s heart from halting completely, but even that frantic internal pleading seemed to be dwindling.

Please! Elmcloud fiercely willed, the blood staining his paws an odd color as he staggered closer to his father and Mintpaw.  From the look upon Mintpaw and Rippedsky’s faces, he knew this was it. The wound he carried from Poppysong suddenly felt open and raw once more, radiating a soul-wrenching grief from deep within the core of his being. Throat closing and eyes burning from the rapidly gathering tears that stubbornly flooded the edges of vision, he forced himself to stay standing before the bloodied mess of fur before him. He didn’t want to bury another family member. He couldn’t.

”Y-you old fool,” Elmcloud managed spit from between tightly gritted teeth, a slight sob wracking his seething voice, ”I’ve already watched you die once, you don’t get the right to do this! Not again! His final words were hardly discernible, the savage shaking of his shoulders and chest derailing his voice too much for proper speech.

OOC: Sorry I'm late. Real life kept me from the party.

IC: The horrid scent of dogs flooded the air. At the sight of the two massive, slobbering beasts standing in SkyClan camp, Tigerpaw felt a chill grip her heart, and she froze. No. No no no. This couldn't be happening. The dogs had found their way to their home. At Crowstar's command to head to the nursery, Tigerpaw snapped out of her shock. This was not the time to be standing there petrified. She had to protect the queens, as well as the kits. She watched as her clanmates began to surround the dogs, burying them beneath writhing furry bodies. Tigerpaw's eyes went wide as one of the dogs, the brown one, knocked Tinypaw away as if the fellow apprentice weighed nothing more than a feather. What am I doing? Why am I just standing here? The striped apprentice almost leaped into the fray herself, but she stopped herself just before she could. Crowstar said protect the nursery. Crowstar said protect the nursery. She repeated to herself. There were already plenty of apprentices aiding the warriors in the battle. I'll just get in the way if I go in now. What if there was another dog? She could not let the nursery's inhabitants get harmed, no matter what. So she dug her claws into the ground and stayed put before the nursery. It wasn't as if she did not feel fear from watching the dogs attack her clanmates. She longed to run as fast as she could away from these dogs, but as a member of SkyClan sometimes there were things more important than your own safety.

Mintpaw's shriek reached Tigerpaw's ears. With a start, the apprentice whipped around. Everything around her grew distant. The cacophony of screeching, hissing, and barking faded away into nothing more than a dim hum in the background. There was a faint ringing in the striped apprentice's ears as she stared at Crowstar's limp, lifeless body lying next to one of a gray dog. Crow... star? There was blood, so much blood. Did a cat really have that much blood in them? He wasn't moving. Why wasn't he moving? Although she had never witnessed it before, Tigerpaw knew that leaders had nine lives that were given to them by StarClan. Why wasn't he waking up, then? Time stretched on, but the black form did not stir. Was it supposed to be like this when a leader lost a life? A horrible thought crept into her heart. Crowstar wasn't getting up, because he had no more lives. And as she witnessed Elmcloud's reaction, she knew that she was right. "Crowstar..." That was the only word she managed to squeeze out. Her legs seemed to go all soft beneath her, and she sat down with a thump. SkyClan's leader had given his last life.

Tinypaw didn't know what had happened. One moment she had been hissing into the face of a dog and then darkness, only to wake up with blurry eyes and buzzing ears as Mintpaw dragged her away from the fight. Mintpaw, dropped Tinypaw just outside of the Medicine cat den and disappeared. Tinypaw was only dazed a few moments before the pain on her left flank hit her with a vengance, causing her vision to sharpen as black spots floated through it. With bees in her brain, she couldn't manage much more than to eat the herbs pushed into her face by Mintpaw. Looking at her left flank hesitantly, at the sight of her own blood Tinypaw immediatly looked away, knowing that the dogs claws had dug into her flesh when is had swiped at her.

Her vision faded to black, just for a moment as Tinypaw lost and regained consiousness, and something in her told her that the noises she had heard were too close to be the battle in camp. Hauling herself up she entered the medicine cat den hesitantly. The first thing Tinypaw saw when she got into the den was Crowstar throwing himself in front of Shrikekit and the dog grabbing him in it's jaws. A scream ripped free of her throat as Crowstar hit the wall of the Den and Tinypaw watched, frozen as Crowstar ripped the throat out of the dog. As Shrikekit moved closer to Crowstar and the dog, Tinypaw snapped out of her shock. Bolting forward she grabbed the kit by the scruff and hauled him away from the two corpses, exiting the ruined den as more of her clan got closer.

Ripplepaw froze as she heard terrible screams, coming from... the medicine cat den? What was going on?! It didn’t take her long before she heard someone cry out “Crowstar!” and she understood. One of those mangy, flea-pelt, mouse-brain beasts had killed her leader! Her ears pressed flat to her head in an attempt to drown out the sounds, but it didn’t work. None of it did. Well, he had lost a life. He would come back, right? But it became apparent, after the mourning and shouting of her Clanmates, that it was his last life. Why was this happening? Oh, StarClan save them! Abruptly, her grieving and fear seemed to snap in two, and were replaced by a much harsher feeling. Rage. She wanted to kill those dogs for daring to enter her camp. The loudest battle yowl she had managed the entire fight burst free from her jaws as she flung herself at the largest, brown dog, quickly finding her way into its back. She dug into its shoulders with her front claws, while her back claws raked down its back, viciously tearing flesh. There was no fear anymore in the young apprentice. Only a desire to hurt, to injure, to see the light fade from its eyes. Obviously, one of her hind legs slowed down her raking, but the other sped up to compensate. It didn’t even cross her mind that she was a terrible fighter.

Ripplepaw used Leap-and-hold, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Swiftpaw's long, fluffy fur was on end. The thrill of the battle had adrenaline pulsing through his veins, not stopping even when he was completely still. There were cats everywhere, and the large dogs were tossing the younger ones about like it was nothing else. The only thing on the huge toms mind was Moonlight. Moonlight could not get hurt. His eyes kept flickering back towards her in the nursery, watching her valiant efforts to protect the kits inside. But, there was one kit that wasn't in the nursery. Shrikekit. It wasn't until after Crowstar had thrown himself in front of the dog that the old apprentice registered what was happening. He wanted to race towards the gray dog, race towards Shrikekit, and most of all, towards Crowstar. He wanted to grab the sickly kit by the scruff and get him away from the terrors that were befalling right in front of his eyes. He wanted to tear the pelt right off the dog that dared mess with SkyClan. But he was frozen. All he could do was watch as Crowstar was thrown, mercilessly, into the wall of the medicine cats den. Swiftpaw's green eyes were trained on his mentor. Crowstar was a brave cat, and it was no question that he was running out of lives. Swiftpaw knew this, but he hoped that he had one more.

Just one more.

As soon as Crowstar, along with the lanky grey dog, hit the ground for the last time, the tom was on his paws, flying towards his mentor, leader, and friend. All thoughts of anything but getting to Crowstar were lost. He fumbled over his large paws, struggling to move to the lifeless black form. He couldn't even manage any words, only limitless agony as he threw himself on the body of his mentor. What garbled mess that did escape his maw was pitiful, the words that the apprentice was trying to speak turning into a jumble of crying and his choked up tears. "C-Crowstar.... please... w-w-wake up...." His sobbing made up for the absence of words that came from the fluffy cat, tears spilling over from his tightly shut green eyes and into the tangled, bloodied fur of Crowstar. He didn't even pay any mind to the blood that coated both of their pelts, nor the dogs that still snarled outside of decimated walls of the medicine cat den, he only fixed his eyes on th leader's unclosed ones, hoping he would rise back up like he always had. Inside he knew, albeit he hated it, that it was not going to happen.

Russetpelt groaned and leaped back as the Black dog bit him. He gave his mate an approving nod as the dog had retreated. Now only the brown dog was left. He was just about to lunge at the larger dog when a few screams of ”NO!” and yowls of grief that came from behind him made the young warrior freeze, stomach dropping. What had happened.

The red-brown tom whirled around, to see the limp body of Crowstar. ”No... this can’t be!”
He slowly and shakely approached the large black leader, hoping that he would stand up again, but Russetpelt had a feeling that wasn’t happening. This must have been his last life. ”Crowstar...”

Sunpaw poked her head out from where she was hiding in the nursery at the sound of shouting. The shouting, suprisingly, wasn't coming from where one of the dogs was still standing - no, it seemed to be coming from the medicine cat's den. She couldn't understand why, exactly. But wait... One of the dogs was still standing? That was a problem. One she could potentially help solve. SkyClan was her home, the only one she had ever been able to remember. All she wanted in that moment was to protect it.

Sunpaw ran forward and launched herself at the still-standing dog with all the force she could manage, and hoped that StarClan wouldn't make her regret this. She wasn't strong enough to finish it on her own, but...

Sunpaw used Run-and-Tackle on the Brown Dog, dealing 6+3 damage and costing 10 stamina

Hawkstrike hadn’t noticed the death of the one he considered his best friend yet, too focused on his fight against the dog as the him and the others cats did their best to bring the beast down. He didn’t even felt the pain of the bite the dog had given to him earlier nor the warm blood that now covered his flank. Such bite would definitely leave a scar, but at the time he couldn’t care less.

Without thinking twice the smaller than average warrior reared on his back paws, using his claws against the dog’s face and especially targeting the eyes. He didn’t care if the dog was already weakened, he would still fight it like if it was strong and fresh, and he would lie if he said he didn’t want to blind him permanently as vengeance for attacking their camp if he couldn’t kill it instead.

Hawkstrike used Rear-Up to Slash Belly Rake, dealing 14 damage and using 15 stamina.

When the dog fell he felt himself be filled with pride, tail standing high and a huge smirk on his muzzle…but the feeling of victory was quickly ripped apart from him as he noticed the gathering cats around the still figure of Crowstar “No…”.

Forgetting his desire to bite into the brown dog’s neck and finish it off for good, he quickly turned around and rushed to join the growing mourning crowd, tears threatening to form on his eyes and a strong sense of denial overwhelming him “Come on, you are a leader, don’t tell me this was your last life, get up!” His denial turned slowly into anger, causing him to push Crowstar with his paw in an attempt to get him to wake up “Wake up! You can’t leave me! Starclan won’t take you away from me too!”.

The dogs were defeated. The black dog could no longer really stand, the Brown dog knew it could no longer fight but was able to use it's strength to leave. The brown dog quickly grabbed the other dog and dragged it out of the camp. Both of them slinking away to never return. Leaving the body of their other companion behind.

Shrikekit stared horrified at the leader's body. Everyone was gathered around him trying to get him to stand, and others had already accepted the bitter truth. He clinched his teeth tightly frozen in his spot. They lost a great leader.. so he could live.. The leader gave his last life for his worthless one that was going to end soon because of his sickness. "It's.. It's my fault!" The kit cried out. If he hadn't been sick. If he hadn't called out for help, it would be him that was dead and not their great leader. The tom laid down and covered his head the best he could. "It's all my fault.."
