The Hunting will Never End (CLOSED)

She was so happy! Spending time with her sister was the best. She didn't care if they had to take care of another apprentice. Cedarstorm always liked to be by Curlyfeather's side no matter what. She was happy for her. After everything she suffered, the grey tabby warrior was finally overcoming her wounds and getting back to the usual warrior's duties. "Come on, sis! We should start hunting here! Dawnpaw, you're free to hunt whenever you can but don't get too far from us, okay?" She mewed batting her sister's ear playfully before focusing on the reason why they were here: to hunt prey for the rest of the clan.

"Okay!" Dawnpaw responded to Cedarstorm and wandered off into the marshland, making sure she didn't go too far. She lifted her nose to sniff the breeze and smelled a toad. She saw the animal and dropped into the hunters crouch. She stalked the small creature, making sure it didn't know she was coming. She then lept onto the Toad,almost missing it, but killed it with a bite to the neck. She quickly thanked starclan for the life that it gives, and buried it, waiting for more prey to come along. i

Curlyfeather nodded at Cedarstorm's words, not needing to hear to know what her sister was talking about. Any patrol with her made her day a bit better. With a genuine smile, she scented the air. It was probably her imagination, but it seemed like her sense of smell had actually gotten better since she had lost her hearing. A rabbit and a mouse's scent reached her nose, and she considered going after the rabbit. As tempting as it was to go after the bigger creature, she knew that there was no way she would be able to catch it. Unlike her scenting skills, her sense of balance had only gotten way worse. Following the mouse, she spotted the rodent near the base of a pine tree. Hopefully that was it's food source, and not its den. Crouching down, she started stalking towards it. For the most part she did well, but she must have made some sort of noise when preparing to jump. The small mouse ran away in a heartbeat. Swearing under her breath, the warrior scented the air for something else.

The she-cat separated herself from the rest of the group while she followed the scent of near prey. She soon could find the small paw prints of her objectives and in a few seconds, the warrior crouched down when her eyes saw the movement of a lizard. She smiled and hid behind a bush, where she could watch the small reptile. Slowly but steady, Cedarstorm approached her objective and in the last moment, she jumped. Her claws got into the lizard's flesh and with her jaws, she caught its neck, killing the animal swiftly. With a smile, she hid the prey and started searching for more.

Dawnpaw stalked away from where she had buried her fresh kill. She smelled a rabbit, and saw it hop across the Windclan border. She shifted into the hunters crouch, first making sure she was downwind of the brown animal. She stalked up on the rabbit and missed the jump. Instead she came face to face with a fox. "Help! There's a Fox!" She cried.

Curlyfeather had regained her usual stubbornness and decided to go after the rabbit. Who cared if she messed up? And she wouldn't. But Dawnpaw was already chasing it. Muttering under her breath, she turned away. The panicked cry wasn't heard. But as she lifted her nose the the air, the scent of fox was obvious. Whirling around, the saw the red brute a whisker away from the apprentice. With a yowl that might have been silent or earsplitting, she dashed towards it, rearing up on her hind legs and swinging her claws repeatedly through the animals skin and fur. What creature had the nerve to hunt in ShadowClan territory?

The brown tabby heard the apprentice's call and forget about the bird she was tracking. With a snarl, she stepped in between Dawnpaw and the predator, her fur bristling. She tossed mud to its eyes, blinding it for a few seconds that could be used by the three ShadowClanners to attack. "Stay away from its jaws, Dawnpaw!" She shouted warning the apprentice.

Cedarstorm used Mud Slap, dealing 7 damage and costing 10 stamina. Fox is stunned for one turn.

Dawnpaw watched as the two warriors attacked the fox, and for a moment dazed. She backed away from the Animals jaws, as Cedarstorm had said. Sense the fox was blinded, Dawnpaw darted behind the Fox and with four unseathed paws, She started to slash at the beasts belly.

Growling, Curlyfeather once again reared up to attack. This time, instead of slicing at it, she dealt blow after blow to the fox's head. From experience, she knew how much that hurt. Hopefully this beast would give up an run away. Actually, no. They should kill it so it wouldn't hurt any of their clanmates. Before too long she fell back to all four paws, but had managed to land quite a few hits on the predator. Too determined to beat it, she didn't take any notice of what Cedarstorm or Dawnpaw were doing.

Following her sister, the experienced warrior ran under the body of the fox and there, she slashed its belly with her unsheathed paw before turning back and getting away from its dangerous paws. The blood that came from the wound painted her back red but there was no time to think about her messy physical appearance. That fox must be defeated quick or it could attack the camp.

The red best screeched as cats began attacking it. It had never seen a cat before, therefor it didn't know what damage one could do. It felt pain underneath it, on it's belly. It looked down and saw a cat [Cedarstorm] and it took the chance it got to get at her. The fox used its long muzzle and grabbed Cedarstorm at the scruff and shook her around. Satisfied, the fox flung her away. It then faced the other cats and snarled, thinking it would win the fight.
