Fight Fight Fight [Closed]

Brokenpaw hoped momentarily that the other cat would not attack him. He was terrified when Rippedsky was so immediately stunned by a first attack, and then he saw the other warrior come for him. He reacted instinctively, and in his scared state a little over-enthusiastically. Although it propelled him right into Dawnpetal's paw blow, Broken charged at her. He knew he wouldn't be useful for much of an attack, but maybe a couple hits would make the difference for his mentor.

Brokenpaw used Run and Tackle on Dawnpetal, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Before he could react, the Thunderclan cats were on them. The tom had hoped to avoid a fight, but much like the warrior who had attacked him before, they seemed eager to tear into Skyclan cats anyways. How quickly the former allegiance was forgotten. He felt his tail yanked backward, causing him to stumble. The jarring movement caused quite a bit of pain at the base of his tail. Rippedsky growled and rolled onto his back and over in an attempt to dislodge his tail. Finally, he darted towards the she-cat and dove under her belly. Finally, he was freed.

The deputy resurfaced to the left of Sharptooth and snapped, "There's no reason for this! Skyclan helped you before. It is not out duty to get involved in all of your issues. This only adds to the wounds of the ridiculous feud!" He spat at the ground in frustration. It was understandable that they were upset by circumstance, but it did not warrant the irrational attacks. He shot a glance back at Brokenpaw. His apprentice was trying. Rippedsky found himself wishing one of the patrols would be nearby, but he knew they wouldn't.

Rippedsky is no longer stunned.

"It's too late now, isn't it?" Sharptooth hissed, whirling to face the older tom. "I'm doing you a favor, after all- would you rather have your apprentice first see battle in a skirmish or the war that's soon to come? Since it's too late to prevent an all-out war, thanks to Crowstar's decision to side with Riverclan instead of staying neutral." The fluffy she-cat saw no fault in her logic, her tattered ears flicking as she stepped forward. The short-legged Thunderclanner paused for a moment and faked a lunge to the side before throwing herself underneath the black-and-white deputy. The warrior turned to rake her claws across Rippedsky's belly, trying her best not to draw blood. Maybe Rippedsky had advocated for her clan, although she couldn't remember any time when Skyclan had gone out of its way to help their neighbors. The she-cat scrambled to her feet and darted a few steps away, bouncing on her paws as she waited for him to strike. She might not be the greatest of warriors, but there was no way she would attack without honor in mind.

Sharptooth used Half-Turn Belly Rake, dealing 15 damage and using 20 SP.

Dawnpetal huffed, taking the attack head-on, recovering quickly. She unsheathed her claws on one paw and rose it up, taking careful aim not to slash too close to the eyes. "I'm sorry for this," she murmured softly, not sure if the apprentice even heard her apology. She slashed her claws across his cheek, smacking him to the ground.

Dawnpetal used Front Paw Strike, dealing 11 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Brokenpaw is unable to battle.

The last thing Brokenpaw saw out of the corner of his eye was Rippedsky pulling himself back up. The apprentice hoped Ripped could save them both, as he fell to the ground.

"My only goal has been to avoid war!" Rippedsky managed with his sides heaving already. The constant stream of border skirmishes was exhausting. However, as he caught sight of Brokenpaw fall to the ground, he was driven to wanting to get these cats away. By whatever means it took, he would stop this from turning fatal. A growl erupted from his throat as he shot forward. With a kick of now well-developed hindlegs, coupled with his lithe frame, the deputy managed to fly over the warrior's head and grip onto her back. His claws dug in deep and he hissed, "End this now and go home. Will harming another apprentice make up for the issues caused by Riverclan? How much blood has to be spilled before you are all satisfied as well?"

Rippedsky used leap and hold on Sharptooth, dealing 14 damage and using 10 stamina. Sharptooth is held for 2 turns.

Dawnpetal stepped away from the defeated apprentice, grateful that he wouldn't be subjected to the harsh battle anymore. When she turned on Rippedsky, however, all sympathy was gone. This cat needed to be taught a lesson in keeping his warriors on their side of the border. She yowled and rose up on her hind paws to repeatedly slash her claws against the SkyClan deputy's face. "Let go of her, you brute!"

Dawnpetal used Upright Front Paws on Rippedsky, dealing 13 damage and costing 20 stamina.

IC: Sharptooth grunted, but bore Rippedsky's weight and began to rock back and forth, trying to loosen the deputy's grip. She could feel his grip weakening and grunted when Dawnpetal attacked. That was what she had been waiting for- with a hiss, Sharptooth rolled on her back and leaped to her feet, clear of the deputy's claws. "I will be satisfied when the deaths of my clanmates have been avenged, Rippedsky." She crouched low, her tail lashing. "You forfeited the right to claim peace the moment you and Crowstar chose to join Riverclan's cause. Don't take the high path, because there is none." The tabby she-cat's ears twitched. Dawnpetal had made quick work of the apprentice, and the she-cat turned for a moment, glad to see that he was unscathed.

Sharptooth used Duck And Twist, dealing 7 damage and using 25 SP. Sharptooth is no longer stunned.

As the one she-cat lashed out at his already torn up face, the other twisted underneath him."Leave!" He yowled, sick of the non-sensical fighting. Brokenpaw was not too seriously injured, but he wanted to get the tom to the medicine cat just in case anything was wrong with him. Besides, there was no point in the fighting. Rippedsky's tail lashed behind him. After launching out, this time with sheathed paws to box the Thunderclan warrior's head, he leaped backwards to stand in front of the felled apprentice. The deputy fixed them both with blazing, blue eyes, "]There is no reason to spill more blood today. Let me take my apprentice back to camp and you return to yours. This does nothing." The words came out an aggravated hiss at the end. As he waited, the tom simply stood there, crouched defensively in front of Brokenpaw.

Rippedsky used upright front paws on Sharptooth, dealing 16 damage and using 20 stamina.

Dawnpetal narrowed her eyes, a deep growl rising in her throat, but it stopped short when she took time to consider their enemy's words. She hadn't beaten up Brokenpaw that bad at all, just gave him a quick scratch and a clock on the head to knock him down. He seemed to be making a bigger deal than it needed to be just to get out of a fight. But he was looking out for his Clan, and a young and practically inexperienced member no less.

Finally, she snorted and turned to look at her Clanmate. "Sharptooth, your call. I personally think we should let them go off with a warning. After all, they've practically lost the battle anyway with two cats against one."
