Cat Fight! [closed]

ooc) Okay since we have cats from Skyclan, Shadowclan, and Windclan involved, it'll be easier to have them all to run into each other at Fourtrees~



The cold grass and crisp dead leaves crunched loudly underneath Adderpaw's feet, and a brisk breeze buffeted her thick fur- although it was hardly felt at this point. The faint scent of other clan's hung heavily in the hollow, and made the muscular tabby she-cat's nose wrinkle. "I can hardly stand the stench of all these cats when it's stale- how can I handle it when I'm actually at the gathering?" She wondered, pulling a face at the thought of having to spend time near cats from other Clans. Looking back over the rise, she gave an impatient twitch of her tail as she waited for Squirrelpaw and Viperpaw to catch up with her- if they wasted anymore time then they'd definitely get caught. "If Tinylegs catches me here again without permission then he'll have my pelt for sure." She reflected ruefully, flexing her claws as she recalled the first time that she and Eagleheart had crossed into other clans territory to get to Fourtrees. "C'mon guys! Don't make me regret agreeing to come all this way with you two!" Adderpaw yowled for her clanmates, ear twitching in annoyance.

Viperpaw was the first to prowl up to Adderpaw. "I'm here," she announced pridefully, yet not too cockily. She snuck across the clearing, wrinkling her nose at the unfamiliar scents. The SkyClan aroma was cooling and familiar; how could cats live with themselves, smelling like this. He wrung out her coat, and looked behind her. "C'mon, Squirrelpaw!" Viperpaw called, narrowing her algae green eyes. Her tail flicked as she waited for the SkyClan she-cat. Meanwhile, she turned to Adderpaw, the other, snappish apprentice. She was assured that the others would be joining them soon. Huffing somewhat tiredly, but not showing her enervation, the she-cat continued on. She didn't stop to clean her shaggy pelt, to which burrs clung to like velcro.

Squirrelpaw followed Viperpaw out towards Adderpaw, and immediately, dozens of scents began flooding her nostrils. The she-cat wrinkled her nose with disgust at first, then she opened her jaws to taste the scents.
"This place smells...weird! Like fish that's been left in a swamp, with faint rabbit scent." The apprentice said, quoting characteristics of RiverClan, ShadowClan, and WindClan. The long-furred she-cat was more intrigued than thoroughly disgusted at the scents.
She felt small, compared to the towering trees of which the clearing was named for: Fourtrees, and she padded a bit closer to Viperpaw.
It angered herself that she seemed so timid in the presence of...trees.

Viperpaw looked at Squirrelpaw. The other she-cat's comment was wittily correct, but she didn't acknowledge it all that much. She walked alongside the two. Her ears twitched, and her scent glands strained to pick up any smells. They were already strong enough, but most were stale. She was searching, almost craving for new scents to prove herself to. She walked forwards, shoulder blades rippling. She sighed as she padded up to the tall trees, who's woods she couldn't quite identify.

Blazepaw had aimlessly wandered into fourtrees, on a lone patrol. She had hoped that her last patrol she was on would be her last as an apprentice, but no luck with that. She heard voices approaching, and curiosity as to who it was, she slowly wiggled into a hollow space covered with vines and mud. Being from Shadowclan helped her to withstand the feeling of mud on her pelt, as she watched quietly from her hiding place. Oblivious to the fact that she would not be out on a patrol, she intently watched as the voices grew nearer with every passing second.

OOC: Will the cats from different clans team up against the mean girls clique, or is it every cat for herself on this one?

Adderpaw was about to send some sharp remark flying towards Squirrelpaw and Viperpaw, but a new scent caught her attention; it smelt oddly faint but something definitely was there. Flicking her tail for silence, she turned to scan the clearing with sharp, observant eyes- perhaps something interesting would happen today after all. "There's no need to hide," Adderpaw called tauntingly, waiting for the unseen cat to reveal themselves, "you've already embarrassed yourself enough by slouching in the mud." The last words were challenging; what kind of cat would cower at the sight of enemies, but yet still have the gall to call themselves a Clan cat?



ooc) likely it'll need to be every cat for themselves since Quailpaw and Blazepaw have never even met and it wouldn't make that much sense for them to try and save each other's skins. It'll go Battle Royale style

Quailpaw ran helter-skelter through WindClan territory, on the tail of a tenacious snow hare. The plump rabbit would feed Willowwhisker and her kits for days! She chased the prey farther than she'd ever been before, gray paws making hurried prints in the snow that flew behind her. Eventually she lost track of the hare and stopped, panting heavily. Come... back... stupid... rabbit....

The WindClan apprentice looked around- where was she? Four towering, snow-capped oak trees reached for Silverpelt, surrounding a giant flat stone. It no longer smelled solely of her Clan, but of rivers, marshes, and forests as well. Was this.... Fourtrees? Her head snapped around as she heard talking. Were the she-cats she heard... her age? "Who's there?" she called out, standing up taller, gray speckled fur ruffled in a passing leaf-bare breeze. Whoever it was, she could take them on if necessary. Her piercing frosty blue eyes glared into the shadows.

"Oh, lovely..." Viperpaw commented sarcastically. She whisked away. She walked around, wringing her tail. Her eyes glared upon contact with dim sunlight. "We've got kits playing games where they've strayed from camp." She looked around.

Another cat? Adderpaw turned around at Viperpaw's words and gazed up the slope where the newest voice originated from. Inhaling deeply, she tasted a newer scent that reeked of rabbit dirt and dead grass- definitely Windclan. "Is every inexperienced apprentice in the forest managing to find their way to Fourtrees?" She reflected, rolling her eyes in annoyance as her attention now directed to the newest addition. "Well well well," She purred, fiery amber eyes glinting with glee, "Looks like we lucked out today! Two kits managed to wander away from the nurseries and right into our paws." She mewed, glancing back at Viperpaw and Squirrelpaw. Rounding back on the Windclan she-cat, Adderpaw let her claws flex eagerly- it would definitely be easy to egg on inexperienced, out-numbered apprentices. "Oh yes, today will be interesting after all." She thought with another flex of her claws, the strong muscles underneath her thick fur tensing. "I've been needing something to sharpen my claws on, and what better than a scrawny, pathetic Windclan cat! Maybe after we're done shredding your matted fur we can see how fast a Windclan can truly run- after all that's all Windclan is known for. Well that and their nasty habit of maiming defenseless apprentices." Adderpaw jeered, clearly itching for a fight.

Squirrelpaw's fur fluffed up, making herself look two times her size, and her amber eyes narrowed to slits.
"Yeah! Your nothing but kits, and...um, yeah! Kits!" Squirrelpaw spat, trying her best to sound insulting, and failing miserably. The she-cat's personality wasn't as daring and bold as Viperpaw and Adderpaw. It was like being a piece of prey beside two dangerous predators. However, determined to show that she wasn't weak, her hooked claws slid out and she hissed vehemently at the rival cats.

"Aw, Adderpaw," said Viperpaw mockingly, "They're just kits! Go easy on them, won't you?" Viperpaw pretended to plead, then scowled at the apprentices. "WindClan, you say? What, does mommy Ashstar need more moss for her baby Smokepelt's bedding?" Viperpaw jeered, tail lashing. "I'm sorry that they sent you out to go get it," she spat, finishing her sentence. The she-cat prowled forwards, her green eyes blazing. "Or maybe," she added thoughtfully, flicking an ear, "Smokepelt sent you out to go maim apprentices for him!" Viperpaw grinned slightly, before it faded. "What's that? Too busy defending your brother, the special snowflake?" Viperpaw hissed. That probably cut it. Viperpaw had realized that Ryepaw was different, and she took advantage of it.

Quailpaw looked up in surprise as three she-cats, obviously looking for trouble, started mocking her- from the way she looked to her Clan. Well, if they wanted a fight, there was no way she was going to give it to them. Shaking out her gray-speckled fur calmly, she imagined she was her mentor Mossfoot. "I have no time to waste on a trio of petty mousebrains," she started, but stopped as soon as Smokepelt and Ryepaw were mentioned." That's it. They just crossed the line. "What did you just say about my brother?" she asked slowly, eyes narrowing. She stalked over to the cat who had insulted him. "I am Quailpaw of WindClan," she snarled, "grandkit of Ashstar, son of Smokepelt, apprenticed to Mossfoot. Nobody, and I mean nobody, says those things about my brother without paying for it." She unsheathed her claws, glaring with fierce blue eyes into the jerk's smug, taunting face. "Any last words, mousefodder? If you apologize I might go easy on you." She kept herself aware of the other two she-cats, the ringleader and the lame sidekick, in case they got any ideas. "What, are you scared, you little SkyClan kittypet brats? Or did your Dark Forest leader teach you any honor?"

Watching from the bushes, Blazepaw saw another cat run in and start to argue with these, skyclan cats? And apparently this was a Windclan kit, but she looked much more like an apprentice. When the arguing got more intense, she realized she was in trouble. Trembling, she slowly crept out of the bushes, shimmying from the brambles in the hollow she sat in. The snow crinkled and crunched underneath her, and she was suddenly frozen still as she stared, almost helplessly, into the Skyclan cats eyes. Standing frozen in fear, she looked deep into one of the she-cats (Adderpaw) eyes, letting out a low snarl to hopefully fend off the cats that called themselves loyal clan cats. With all the courage she had, she straightened her posture and smoke up in a prissy manner."What are you mousebrained Skyclan cats doing out here? Looking for crowfood to feed your disgusting clan? Or are you running away from your Dark-forest riddled 'clan' in shame?"

"I'm scared, Adderpaw, hide me!" Viperpaw squealed mockingly, and then her eyes shot back to Quailpaw. "Oh, yes, your rank. How intimidating." she said sarcastically, and flicked Squirrelpaw with her tail as if to get the she-cat's head in the game. "Oh no, no—we wouldn't want to hurt the heir to the apprentice-maiming throne." Viperpaw grimaced at Quailpaw, shaming her father, the deputy of WindClan. She looked at Blazepaw, tipping her ears. "Are we scared?" asked Viperpaw, looking behind her. She then returned her gaze back to Blazepaw, the ShadowClan apprentice. "You're trembling. I thought you'd feel more secure, after Mudfoot injured my cousin." Viperpaw's tone grew to a hiss, to make sure that the two she-cats knew the authority she held, being Pansypaw's cousin and kin.

Quailpaw's hackles raised. "Apprentice-maiming? Oh, you'd know all about that, being part of the Dark Forest, wouldn't you? I bet maiming is a big part of your daily training. At least WindClan has pure blood. You just take in any cat that waltzes across your path. Tell me, how much kittypet is in your blood? Well, I bet your father was a rogue and your mama was a kittypet." She looked over at the ShadowClan apprentice before glaring back at Viperpaw. "Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin. If she was as rude as you, she deserved everything she got. It's a shame this Mudfoot didn't kill her." She gave the other apprentice that was being bullied a friendly nudge- maybe they could team up. "I should have known not to expect politeness from a rogue. I guess I'll just have to teach you some manners!" Quailpaw leapt at the bully, claws outstretched, and pinned her to the ground.

Quailpaw used Leap-and-Hold on Viperpaw. -6 HP, -10 SP. Viperpaw is pinned for 1 turn.
