What are the duties of a medicine cat : A medicine cat's duty is to first and foremost put their clans's needs before theirs. They are to never take a mate or have kits as this will inspire favoritism. A medicine cat is to stay unbiased and tend to the most injured first. Medicine cats play a vital role in the clan not only through healing, but also through prophetic visions. They are in close connection with Starclan, and as such hold a unique place in clan politics. They are to meet with the other medicine cats every halfmoon at the moonstone to share herbs, discuss clan happenings, and share tongues with Starclan. Medicine cats take the most neutral role in the forest, taking care of cats from other clans as well as their own.


What you would do with this position : In terms of my character, Silentpaw will evolve. At the current moment, she is riddled with anxiety and is petrified whenever someone so much as raises their voice at her. From the start, I intended there to be some moment in her apprenticeship that would help her gain the confidence needed to grow into the cat I knew she could be. However, all my attempts at this failed rather miserably. You see, Silentpaw has a horrible mix of social anxiety and a pacifistic nature. She hates the thought of harming another living being. Hunting is, while she has such a strong talent in it, stressful for her. She hates killing prey. She clings to the notion that she's saving kits by killing mice. Battle is even more difficult for her. She has a strong empathy that runs to her very core. She was my first character on site. I have great hopes for her. I feel like she'd evolve beautifully training alonside Nettlesting. From what I've seen, Nettle has a strong drive and a passion to get things done. I feel like this would be a perfect influence to Silent. I doubt he would baby her, quite the opposite actually. So I feel with his harsher nature, this would be a perfect chance to have Silent evolve into the calm, driven cat she was always meant to be. As a medicine cat, Silentpaw will be very attached to her duties and her clan.

As for the role itself, I intend to be just as passionate about my role as Stags. I hope to be an active influence in Shadowclan and be one of the driving forces in livening it up again. I'll keep track of posts in the Medicine cat's den and in the camp to see if I'm needed, and I promise be as active as I humanly can.


Why you think you deserve this position : I believe I've shown myself to be devoted to Shadowclan from the moment I've joined, and I feel that devotion will be good for the role of medicine cat. I'm an active roleplayer who prides herself on putting a lot of thought into her posts, and I try to keep up with topics to the best of my ability.
