Wisteriapaw's Warrior Ceremony

Leopardclaw leaped onto the Highrock and called out in a loud, but strained, voice; "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highrock for a clan meeting!"

Wisteriapaw padded out of the apprentices' den with yellow eyes that were practically dull and lifeless. She had to find some sort of way to take her mind off of Flickerpaw, but doing so would definitely be difficult. Per usual, the she-cat lingered at the back of the crowd and didn't make direct eye contact with anyone.

Once all the cats had assembled, Leopardclaw called out; "Today, another one of our apprentices is finally ready to take their first step into warriorhood. Wisteriapaw, step forward!"

There was a sudden look of stupefied amazement in Wisteriapaw's eyes as she heard her name, but she immediately covered it up. It bothered her to be at the center of the crowd and of attention, but she forced herself to the front of the crowd and took a tiny step forwards afterwards.

Once the she-cat had stepped forward, Leopardclaw began the ceremony;  "I, Leopardclaw, deputy of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice.  She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn.  Wisteriapaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Wisteriapaw silently listened as she glanced up at Leopardclaw with wide yellow eyes. All she had to do now is say two words, but she could practically feel the glances of her Clanmates on her as she sucked in a breath before she spoke.
"I d-do." The ginger-and-white apprentice uttered, nodding quickly.

With an approving nod, Leopardclaw continued;  “Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Wisteriapaw, from this moment you will be known as Wisteriapool.  StarClan honors your kindness and patience, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan”  Leaping down from his perch, the deputy rested his chin on top of the new warrior's head, completing the ceremony.

Wisteriapool, immediately embracing her new name, couldn't help but put on a smile as Leopardclaw finished with the ceremonial words. Almost instantly, chants began to rise up in the air as ThunderClan cats repeatedly shouted her warrior name: Wisteriapool. It was a beautiful name, in her opinion. Closing her eyes as the deputy placed his chin on her head, the ginger-and-white she-cat let out a soft purr of glee. Flickerpaw would be proud of her now, right? She had to be a good warrior for her sister, after all.

Wildfire smiled and ran over, headbutting her shoulder. "Congrats, Wisteriapool! You can finally join me in the warrior den! I'll make sure you have the best nest, okay?"

"Wisteriapool! Wisteriapool!" Featherheart called out in jubilance as he stood and padded over to his sisters. He purred and nudged them both. Chest felt full of warmth and pride, he couldn't stop it when a joyful tear made it's way down his cheek. To hide it, he turned as if called and discreetly used his tail to wipe it away before he turned back.
"I'm so proud of you." He purred joyfully. "The next gathering better watch out for us!" He winked at Wildfire with a mischevious smile. Part of him wished that Flickerpaw had been here for this... but he refused to dwell on that.
